if anyone wants a new good show to watch, Ashita no Kita Yoshio is pretty good.

It is pretty much about this guy who has been screwed over and over in life and after getting a scratch on his hand that looks like the number 11, he realizes how his entire live is tied to this number and decides to kill himself in 11 days, which is also the same date his best friend died years earlier. At one point he runs into this playboy type guy who helps him live his final wishes until he dies.

Its kind of funny that I saw the Nana movie a while back and now the 2 new series im watching both start actors from that movie. Well, it really isnt funny...but yeah.

Bara no nai hanaya was pretty good, might wanna check that out when it hits the nets.

I was already planned to watch that. I also am gonna check out Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi whenever that comes out, the description seems like its worth checking out.

and the first part of the Nodame special was really good, only odd thing is that they really added in a lot of special effects this time.

Blew through all of Densha Otoko this weekend, thanks for the recommendation all!

Question about the show: Who's the actor who plays the hikikomori on Aladdin-ch? The extreme stereotypical hikikomori who puts his food tray outside his door and complains about the sunlight when he puts notices up in Akihabara.

is it this guy: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Ito_Takahiro ?

actually, they dont look that much alike after looking at it a bit, well it might be.

I'm watching hana kimi now which is quite funny.

Before I was watching Four Gods, which is actually a Korean Drama but it's damn awesome. :)

the Nodame SPs were so awesome, this show needs a full second season past this.

one of the best parts was that
Kuroki had a big role in the second episode, he was my favorite character from the actual series (outside of Chiaki and the main cast)
.

Ashita no Kita Yoshio is a really awesome show, the three episodes out so far are all great. The only problem is that it seems like there are 4 different conspiracies going on at the same time.

Honey and Clover isnt bad, but it isnt as good as I thought it would be. I dont like where they are going with the changes and all that, I think Takemoto comes on a little too strong.

Is anyone else is watching Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi? this show is just so awesome. This season in general is so awesome for having two great standout shows. Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi is seriously one of the funniest shows ive seen in a long time, the entire premise of the show is great. It is basically about a guy who has really bad luck being forced into being a teacher, but when he arrives in Nara to teach he finds out he is secretly a messenger for the deers and has a mission to save Japan.

It's not a television show, but has anyone seen a Japanese movie called "Dare mo Shiranai / Nobody Knows"? One of the saddest movies I've seen in a while, but a very good movie nonetheless. It's about a 4 kids who are abandoned by their mother, who leaves the eldest boy, whose 12, in charge of his 2 younger sisters and younger brother (who aren't registered with the government I think, the mother doesn't let them go to school, and only the oldest son is allowed the leave the apartment to take care of shopping, bills and stuff). They initially seem to get along well enough, since it wasn't the first time the mother disappeared for weeks or months at a time, but as the months go by and money dries up, their lives begin to fall apart.

The saddest thing about it was that it was based on a real event. In the real case, the youngest girl ended up being beaten to death by the oldest sons "friends" (who were really more bullies), and when the police finally find the 3 surviving kids, they were severely malnourished. It made me wonder how a parent could do that to her own children.

I'm not watching anything right now... I was thinking of starting either...

Dragon Zakura
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko

Any suggestions?

Kekkon Dekinai Otoko is my favorite drama. Dragon Zakura was pretty good too.

If you guys haven't already, bambee mens is a great show.

Hachikuro is a little meh to be honest. The girl playing Hagu fucking sucks.

yeah, granted I only have seen 2 episodes of it, I dont like the drama version that much.

and I have no idea what bambee mens is. Is it Binbo Danshi? because im waiting to watch that one.

Binbo Danshi is funny.

It's a bit of a relief to see Shun not playing an emo high school kid this time.
<3 ....Though there's nothing wrong with that! XD

Only thing that irks me about that drama is yamada yu *hides*

One started on the international channel tonight called "Wives make the world go round." So far, it's extremely similar to Double Kitchen, which aired in 94 or 95 and even had the same actors as the parents. They need to play Boys Over Flowers S2 imo

I'm seriously amazed Oguri Shun is able to play any character other than the mukuchi cool guy.

Dude, Yamada Yu is fucking hot.

I've been staying away from 1pound cause I can't stand Kamenashi.

yeah, now Shun has another character type he can play past -badass -too cool for school guy -stripped naked infront of his entire school to show his bruises from getting bullied by a group of girls guy.

Tonight's Bara no Nai Hanaya has probably the most epic pillow fight ever.

ill see about that, the last episode of Ashita no Kita Yoshio has the most half hearted old man questioning if he wanted to have sex with this idol girl pillow fight ever, althought I wouldent consider it epic.

I'm rewatching Densha Otoko right now... I never understood why she said she didn't see him very well on the train because she didn't have her contacts, yet she is reading a book. Mind boggling.

Also, imagine what would happen if this guy went to GAF, it would be 3 pages of assholes trying to win the thread before he says fuck it and jumps off the building.

I came into this thread to say the same thing after realizing it wasn't.

Glad I went through all the pages to see if someone beat me.

So I'll just say QFT.

I recently checked out Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and while I really enjoyed it, parts of Kuwano reminded me too much of myself for it not to be a bit weird.

except in GTO when he was bullied by a bunch of girls, he is pretty much always that one type of character.

Oh, and then there's that one dude who always plays the "Troubled wealthy youth with a heart of gold." uh... Jun Matsumoto, I think.

I am watching it and I agree it rocks.
I think the other teacher that lives at the boarding house is the missing god.

Trick is awesome, the two leads have great chemistry. And might I also suggest Galileo, it is kind of like mythbusters meet Colombo.

Where can I download Trick from? I've found it on several sites, but there's only like two seeds or so. Disappointing.

tvnihon has the first 8 of the first season. D-addicts have the rest, sometimes you get lucky and they start seeding again

I think there is something up with him, i sure it will be revealed later on. And even tho Hotta looks like a fish, she kicks ass at Kendo.

Fight coreography is beyond awesome, special efects are good, there are no stupid transformations, no mechas, there is one transphormation per character and it last 5-6secs in the first few episodes [later 2-3 secs max].

I TOTALY APROVE IT!!!

I just started watching Hanakimi (Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi E) and how the hell are people so oblivious to fact that this girl isnt a girl? This is even beyond Superman logic. She doesnt look like a guy, she acts like a girl, yet no one can connect the dots at all!

and the Honey and Clover drama was pretty ho-hum, not really worth watching, although I will check out one of the later episodes to see if they do the whole bike ride with Takemoto, that was my favorite part of the anime/manga.

Speaking of jdrama, my friend got sent a warning letter from Comcast for downloading LIFE. As for me been watching Double Kitchen, LIFE and One Pound Gospel recently.

I have been meaning to start watching One Pound Gospel, it seems like it will be pretty good. I really want someone to sub Binbo Danshi.

and Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi really is amazing. The series is half way done and every episode so far has been amazing. Out of all the jdrama I have seen, this is the funniest one.

and HanaKimi was pretty good, but nothing amazing. It was worth watching if only for Oguri Shun in drag.
