I haven't seen many but I liked H2, Dragon Zakura and Nodame Cantibile. I would kill for a drama version of Beck. I love the anime and manga for Beck.

Linkzg said:the only real hard one to cast would be Chiba, other than that I dont think it would be too hard.
and Leah Dizon may be too old to play Maho, im guessing Leah Dizon is in her mid 20s or so, Maho is in her late teens in Beck I think.
MarkMan said:Leah Dizon is turning 21 this month... I totally think she could fit the role...
That's why I didnt like the anime :|fart said:anyways, i think the quality of a beck drama would depend on the music more than anything else.
fart said:iirc maho is like 15 or 16 in the manga. i'm not so sure that casting her that young would fly so well in a drama though, and leah dizon does look freakily like i imagine maho would look in real life.
anyways, i think the quality of a beck drama would depend on the music more than anything else.
i'm not really clued into the japanese indie scene, but if it sounds like this i think i'm only going to be disappointed.sp0rsk said:I think the closest Beck has to a real life counterpart is One OK Rock or HY

quite a funy show where they uglify all the girls even tho they kind hot in real life
Er, what? I watched it subbed like 3 years ago.Ronok said:Yeah it's a good show, but, NYA are gunna take like atleast another year to sub the last 3 episodes..... Seriously, so frustrating. >.>;;

Linkzg said:im have the first episode that I might check out after the one im watching now, if I like the first episode enough I might watch the series next.
I got the first episode for that one also, is it supposed to be bad?
Ronok said:I watched the first few episodes (I downloaded them without watching any) and it's so amazingly horrid. I seriously couldn't believe what I was watching..... If you have the first ep watch it and you'll know what I mean.... It doesn't get any better between there and ep 4 at least. lol
Eeikod said:I finished Nodame Cantabile already, but the subs said something about Nodame Cantabile II. Are they really continuing with the drama?
Anyhow, I really liked Nodame and GTO, what should I get next?

Yeah, I'll give it a try someday, probably.sporks said:There is a manga that continues long after the drama ends.
Crayon Shinchan said:So since making this thread, I've watched a few more J-dramas.
Finished off Gokusen, watched the latest subs of Yama Onna Kabe Onna, finished off Dragon Zakura and starting to watch Bengoshi no Kuzu.
Yama Onna Kabe Onna is great; sure it's one dimensional, but hey, it does what it does well. Also liking the leading lady, which has come across from Gokusen. Looking forward to watching the rest of Densha no otoko (didn't really give this one too much of a chance when I last watched it).
Dragon Zakura is pretty good... not as good as GTO, but hey, not much is. Opening theme song is way too saccharine for me, but the education focused theme is pretty alright. The other teachers are completely moronic and superfluous though.
Bengoshi no Kuzu; pretty fun. About the Lawyer named Scum, that acts like one but has a heart of gold. It's good times!

Sekai No Chuushin De, Ai Wo Sakebu
I absolutly love this drama. I watched the movie and read the novel but nothing were as good and sad as the drama
thats exactly how why I love it. ^^Shouta said:Geh, Sekachu. The drama is good if you like insanely sappy and manipulative. The concept is great but man, the main character is just so awfully stupid.
I hate shows where you curse at the main character.Darji said:thats exactly how why I love it. ^^
