Gematsu has confirmed that Ichigo from Bleach & Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin are playable characters. Can't link due to scan from Jump magazine being shown.

YES!! A sequel to the DS games on non-region locked platforms! At first I was like NOOOOOooooo fuck riu 3DS legion rock but then I was like... Like... WTF IS THIS SHIT?! Looks nothing like the SSB-esque previous games, instead more like that insipid Dragon Ball Z arcade game. NOOOOOooooo

This about sums up how I felt. I would have loved to the play the older game since it looked like an awesome SSB-type game with all the Shonen Jump characters. And now that there's a new one that I could import on the VIta, they changed it up. Booo.
