The article?
davidjaffe said:I mind his paycheck comes from Microsoft and when someone from Msoft approaches me with such slant against the PS3, I get suspicious. Most sane people would. Not cause 360 is bad, not cause msoft is evil. But they are the main competition of Sony and it just looks bad and feels wrong.

Just in case I wasn't the clear the first time, however, I think the accusations of bias are absolutely inappropriate on Jaffe's part (and as I said, based on his comments here, it seems he's backed off from that quite a bit).
This seems to be the case, but I think it's primarily because X360 picks up the majority of the slack that PS3 will continue to see some multiplatform releases...so, in a way, X360 helps to sustain some of PS3's multi-platform development.lowlylowlycook said:Instead they need each other to form an install base that can even conceivably support the high cost of developing HD games.

Exactly. Truman = Nintendo, and Dewey = Sony. I assume in this analogy that J. Edgar Hoover = MS.
PistolGrip said:In terms of console sales the PS3 is almost as big a disaster as the PSP console is .. oh wait.
I guess someone can write yet another Journalism failure article as well.
The ps3 may be in third place but its no where near a failure its being accused of. Of course its not beating the competition but its twice the price. Perhaps the journalist could be fair and point out what many consider a better value over the other consoles. Point out the great environment it currently has in the PSN download game space. Focus on what an amazing job SONY first party is doing putting out new IP and in IMO the best fist party games so far of the top three manufactures.
AstroLad said::lol I see you're one of those "Sony can't catch up" people. Do you know by any chance how many people still use PS2s as their primary and only gaming console?

OKOuterWorldVoice said:1. Using the term "xbot" or "ntard" etc is beyond sad and belongs on lesser forums.
2. As far as I can tell, Mr. Jaffe didn't answer the journalist's questions, so nobody is sharing ANY information, other than the content of what I'm sure was supposed to be a private email.
3. We have, as a civilization established, beyond all shadow of doubt that asking pointless fluffy questions results in pointless fluffy non-answers.
4. MSNBC has no more to do with the Xbox business than Minidisc players have to do with OPM.
5. The original questions were designed to shed light on a particular avenue, or "angle" the reporter was going for.
6. Every single journalist worth their salt goes for an "angle." in this case it's an angle that displeases you. And it's an angle far more interesting to their mainstream demographic than say, "the motion blur on Killzone 2 is particularly awesome."
7. I wish someone would close this thread because it's truly pathetic.
8. Puttting someone's profession in "quotes" does not invalidate it. You should try it in a complaint letter to a "paramedic."
