Just cause I've seen my name mentioned twice now, EmpressInYellow doesn't need to reply to me. Both of us are just sharing thoughts on a complex issue and that's really it. Just don't want them thinking they have to be forced to respond to some post I made
Seinfield isn't wrong in what he says, but it is true soo many people incorrectly moan about PC. Even I admit social justice very much has a place and at times an important one. Just because there's examples of batshit crazy people doesn't speak for everyone. Hula girl, Hugh Mungus and whatever other caricature you can bring up would exist as fucking mental people without the internet even existing and needing buzzwords for them. As we know the internet has brought about camera phone videos being sent out for all to view. At least Seinfield pretty much just said I ain't doing Uni tours and never has. Stuck to his convictions and leaves it at that.
Seinfield is lukewarm on the pushing the boundaries compared to Carlin anyway. Or I guess a "modern version" of Carlin could be Jim Jeffries. Although he's nowhere near as funny or good as Carlin. He's the master of our times. IMO of course. Shame he's not with us anymore.
Caitlyn has been such a topic of conversation that seems to have gone beyond transistion, but also revolves around the conversation that arose around her supporters and haters as well as the other things in her life. And so many people have taken a stab at her.
A good interview with Senifeld on Seth Meyers talk about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXDHjwaUtPI
But you also have someone like Bill Burr who takes it in a different direction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsOJnMvxZVg
