Actually Blow's a pretty smart and nice guy when he's just chilling around talking (not like the bi-polar Phil FIsh).

Same here, more specifically after seeing the whole completely embarrassing "Japanese games suck" incident on youtube last year I'll never give a single euro again on Blow and Team Meat.

I wasn't really a huge fan of Braid so didn't know much about him, but when he was on Giant Bombs e3 stream a few years back he was fucking great. He called out the MS people on their bullshit while being completely calm and keeping his head.
Wow, the people getting bent out of shape because Blow blew himself (and people find it HILARIOUS) is dumb as people getting offended because Sony said "Thank You". He should have probably gone through the proper channels but, nah, he went to Twitter and fucked his face off. Still looking forward to The Witness but this situation is funny as hell. Seems to be the norm when it comes to indie developers who have a hit game.
Blow and the Team Meat guy were also at that panel. Blow agreed with Fish's statement but at least made some proper arguments, the Team Meat guy seemed to laugh at the japanese guy (though I got more of the impression that he laughed at the bluntness of Fish's statement)

Why does this make you want to buy his games less? The developer says something you don't like and now you don't want his game anymore. I just don't get it.

I don't blame them for hating MS, but a lot of indie developers found a lot of success because of Xbox Live.
Fish started this BS at this Q&A yes but their reaction was not good too, anyway that's a personal opinion and maybe I'm overreacting I don't know but I thought that their stance was like really awkward, arrogant and I'll say again embarrassing. The whole us (west) versus them (Japan) mentality/vibe in that Q&A was completely ridiculous IMO.

This is probably the mildest Twitter flub I've seen here in awhile, and yet people are calling for his head. I'm guessing that people just don't like his anti MS agenda, but I really can't blame him for that.
Microsoft is arguably in a better position to calculate elasticities this way, but not notifying the owner prior to making a decision is unjustifiable. Unless, of course, such behavior were explicitly contemplated, in which case I don't understand this developer's reaction.

He drummed up controversy that he knew was bullshit (he has commented on Braid XBLA pricing more than once in the past*) in a poorly thought out attempt to shit on the company that gave him his biggest opportunity (which he has been taking every opportunity to do for a few years now). Yeah, he is an asshole.
You don't even need this nontroversy to know that. Look at his history of public comments, or his posts on QT3; he has always come off as self-entitled and pretentious ass. We get it, he had a falling out with MS and hates everything they do or don't do now; he needs to move on

Haha, this is blow being blow, he's basically a cranky old man on twitter. I hope he realizes at some point that venting randomly on twitter isn't always a great way to connect with people. He's one of the most influential game developers of the current generation -- not even primarily for the one major game he's finished, but because of the way braid and other indie games around that time changed the market together, because of the experimental gameplay workshop at gdc, and because of his writing and talks about game design, and a bunch of other things besides.
