Josh Duggar won’t apologize for sex abuse and adultery: ‘He believes external forces were to blame’

Josh Duggar may — or maybe not, depending on the source — be returning to his family’s TLC reality show.

The prolific evangelical family is hurting for money, despite their occasional and flagrant abuse of free-food giveaways at fast-food joints, so they’re at least considering cashing in their eldest son’s molestation and adultery scandals for TV ratings.

“Josh will appear on the next season of his sisters’ series,” a source told InTouch. “The plan is for him to address everything he’s done. What he has to say will be ratings gold, and TLC — and the Duggars — know it.”

The 28-year-old Duggar resigned from his job with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council last year after admitting to molesting four of his sisters and another girl while they were sleeping about a decade earlier.

He then entered a Christian rehabilitation center for months after admitting to extramarital affairs when the Ashley Madison hack revealed his accounts on the adultery website.

The source said Duggar would address those scandals, but he would not apologize.

“Josh will cover everything and he will maintain the family line that God has saved his soul and guided him back to the right path,” the source said. “But one thing you probably won’t hear is that he’s actually sorry, as he believes that external forces were to blame for his behavior.”

Their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, have reportedly been torn apart by their eldest son’s sex abuse, pornography addiction and infidelities.

The couple apparently disagreed on how to punish their adult son for his embarrassing mistakes, which led to the cancellation of their own popular TLC reality TV show, “19 and Counting.”

Nothing says religion like scapegoating God for everything. It must be nice to never have to take responsibility for anything ever.

Evangelicals and born-agains are the absolute worst. First to cast blame, last to accept responsibility for anything.

External forces? Was God pushing your arm as you molested your sisters? Oh wait Satan made him do it right?

Maybe there was a spontaneous earthquake that propelled his hands onto his sister's bodies. That's it.

What a shitstain

The part that gets is that he had a job at an anti LGBT company.

How can someone work against civil rights? Boggles my minds.

Am I reading this wrong, or was there no fucking jail time? Are you fucking kidding me?

They refused to press charges so he was never arrested. With no willing victim, he can't be prosecuted. That's why people get away with rape and domestic violence so often because victims don't want to go through the horror of reliving their ordeal for everyone to see. Well one reason anyways.

This whole story made me sick to my stomach. These were heinous crimes and he is going to whip out this "the devil made me do it" bullshit? Fuck this guy. He should be in a fucking cell.

If he himself was abused as a child, which is common in sexual abusers, he may certainly feel that way.

Hopefully he becomes well enough to integrate that part of himself into his personality, otherwise it'll probably just keep controlling him.

Or how about you own your shit like a follower of Jesus is supposed to do and apologize. No?

American Christianity is sickening.

I usually support people's religious preferences, but this. It's sad as hell to me.

One of the reasons I've stayed away from a religion of my own is that I think it's messed up atheists who help everyone and never hurt anyone go straight to hell but folks like this guy and worse will go to heaven because they love God. Double standards.

I'm not surprised. I work primarily on child exploitation cases and it is not often the perpetrators take any kind of personal responsibility for what they've done. It is infuriating.

I'm surprised TLC hasn't rebranded their network. In no way whatsoever does it still stand for "The Learning Channel"

Offload your worries on Jesus. Blame your problems on Satan. No wonder people fall for this bullshit. They don't want to own their lives.

Actually Jesus was incredibly strict on personal and private behavior.

The Sermon on the Mount expounds on this.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew 5-7

His followers were not absolved from this.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Disgusting. No doubt the family blames the girls and has brainwashed them into not pressing charges. They get to get away with it too because religion.

That entire family is straight up fucked. All of them seem to be indoctrinated in this belief that having faith automatically means that everything is up to God, you're never responsible for your own behavior and whatever evil you do is either work of the Devil or part of God's plan. So when you molest your sisters and cheat on your wife, just look the other way and try to make a buck off of it, you know, like Jesus taught...
