I'm trying not to read reviews or this thread because I want to minimize my exposure to anything about this game; I already know it's my cup of tea.

You just need to be online to run into strangers, not to play the game.

Nope. They've specifically said before that if you wish to completely isolate yourself from the co-op experience, that's a good option.

I cannot say if I agree or not with Amirox as I haven't played the game, not even the beta, but I will buy the game and let gaf know my experience with it.

Amirox, I would like you to provide some context to your opinions.

What is your definition of gameplay and what's good gameplay?
Do you think that gameplay is separated from game mechanics?

By finding all of the glowing glyphs in the game. It can be done over multiple playthroughs.

The concept hardly describes thatgamecompany's later games though, which have no challenge to speak of and thus sit firmly in the "boredom" category.

It hardly describes Flow and Cloud as well, not just their later games.

Anyway, I think ultimately their games thrive based on how pretty the pictures are.

Aesthetics are pretty simplistic and dull too.
