If it's going to be like Operation Genesis you manage your park ala Roller Coaster/Zoo Tycoon; fulfill your guests' and dinosaurs' needs, make sure the carnivores don't break out and kill everyone, etc.Never played a game like this. Once you build what else is there to do?

It's pretty good. It's kind of light on content but given it was a launch (or near launch?) title it was fine.Did their Zoo Tycoon game turn out any good?
Yet another Kickstarter hopeful that may have bitten off more than it can chew. They have no firm release date anymore and their last update says they'll include "Jeeps" while seemingly failing to understand that Jeep is a brand name, so they better start calling them Geeps or something dumb like that.
Amateur hour, as expected.
Would be cool if they offer Jurassic Park era buildings/setting, as opposed to just Jurassic World. Either way I am so pumped they are making this, I loved Operation Genesis.
keep the park running (that can mean upgrading your park at anytime new rides/attractions) and make your guests happy.
It's the Planet Coaster devs. It's going to be good
Now I just need a Jurassic World meets Far Cry game and I'm all set(Not blood dragon but like actual Dinos).
I wouldn't be surprised if this has a dinosaur battling feature. It surely will allow you to upgrade the dinos, and make hybrids (otherwise why even have evolution in the name?) The whole finding and collecting DNA to breed dinos should be fun as well.
Plus, Operation Genesis did crisis situations really well, and this trailer teased two kinds: breakout and a storm.
Should have lots to do.
Even the announcer was sad as fuck when she announced that you had a message from Ellie.
Day 1 for me since I played the crap out of operation genesis.
What's the chances that this upcoming game will kill the resale value of Operation Genesis? OG is a super rare game.
I have PC version as well the Xbox version, both in complete edition.
On one hand, it's based on the shitty movie.
On the other, it is finally a JP theme park sim game sequel.
Not buying unless they add feathers.
Pretty crazy no one actually thought of doing this before? A park builder with dinosaurs?
I mean we got 5 rollercoaster games on Steam in the last couple of years.

People have, though. As mentioned above, there's been projects such as Mesozoica and Prehistoric Kingdom.
Yep. When I played far cry 2 that was my very first thought. A far cry game set at Isla Sorna.
My only gripe is that it's the Jurassic World IP and not Jurassic Park.
Ditto, but sadly JP branding is dead outside of high-end JP collectables and boxsets.
What's up with all these new licensed titles outside of Lego and mobile? Are these games doing well again?
The movie has no impact on whether this will be good or not though. It's not like the actual park they created for world in the movie was bad by any means. I rather see buildings and themes from world over the basic generic fences and buildings Jurassic park gave us... the hate for JW is sometimes too irrational. For a park simulator it makes more sense to reference the movie with the actual established park...
