Just Cause 2 Multiplayer - [Beta Test: Sat 8th-9th September]

Man I played tons of it last night with no crashes. Played for maybe 30 minutes today and I've crashed 3 times doing the exact same shenanigans at the airport. Weird.
 
Game only crashed when I exited it.


This mod is incredible. So much anarchy and silliness. I started stunt riding a firetruck that someone was driving around the airport. After awhile, the guy that was driving started chasing a commercial jet down the runway. I attached my grapple hook from the truck to the plane, hijacked the truck, and got airlifted off the ground. :lol

The pilot made it a few hundred yards off of the runway before the weight of the truck was too much and both of us tumbled into the ocean.

I also managed to attach a baby panau head to a motorcyclist. :^O That didn't turn out very well for that dude.

Keep your eyes on GamersGate, it goes on sale there everyone once of a while for $5.

Or wait for the Steam summer sale, which likely will also make it $5.

Also, I really want to try this mod but should wait until I get my computer in a couple of days.
 
Can't get the client to load. After opening the client the game just crashes immediately. Running it as admin, have played the game in steam many times. Had to update my .NET framework to get the multiplayer client to open up though which seems weird since the game ran fine on the old .NET.
 
Spend 30 minutes trying to get to a airport.
Total chaos in airport.
Finally get a plane 15 minutes later.
Die all of the sudden for no apparent reason while the plane keeps flying (wasn't hijacked).
Back to start.


Yeah -.- this ain't fun.

put this file into the data folder of the jc-mp mod replacing the old one
now you can use blackmarket and extract to locations or buy a few vehicles

however the vehicles cant be seen by other players as they are not synced, so although you will be able to use them to get around but nobody can hitch a ride or hijack

I saw a mod saying we shouldn't use mods so probably best to not to. It might give them extra bugs on their end and complicate development.

apparently each player only needs a small amount of bandwidth to play (talking about kb's here). since the blackmarket items are not synced i doubt it will cause any problems.

up to you though

Here, a mirror of the same file except this one is zipped. There is no need to wait for some seconds and solve a captcha for a couple of kilobytes.

i usually use mediafire but they make you create accounts now and i cant be bothered
 
It just told everyone to reconnect to the new server because they fixed some bugs. Wonder if that is anything substantial.

also is GAF using some kind of chat service to coordinate stuff/chat in game?
