Should Superman eventually appear in the trailers?

I agree Cyborg is too thing, which is funny because the actor is the biggest of the group. Seeing him go into battle mode, and looking back at the unused model from BvS, it's roughly the same design but he's beefier. I get the intent behind making Cyborg's body unnaturally robotic and not a guy in a suit. But sometimes it's hard to wrap your head around something that inherently looks unnatural.

Why is it always the posters that have seemed so intentionally colourful when the actual film that they've shown off has been anything but?

Without getting into details, there's a pointed reason the posters have the sunrise theme.

I'd guess for the younger gen+diversity. Could be wrong..

Because Martian Manhunter only pretends to be black, but isn't really.

John Stewart would have been a better pick then if not MM.

Genuine question: why?

Because we've only recently had Origins and 'prime' Batman. It's time to take the character in a new direction and this is the best one available right now. No-one wants to see origins Batman again.

No one.

Also, Cyborg feels out of place somehow. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe because I don't know the character at all in association with the JL.

Wasn't be a C lister like Plastic Man and the other garbage heroes who were only brought because the A listers didn't want to deal with stupid shit?

Why is he suddenly a founding member?

Cyborg has been a founding member of the Justice League in the New 52 and Rebirth storylines. He would be prominently featured in the recent animated films about the Justice League and of course having his own chapter in the first Injustice game's storyline (which no other Teen Titans character, besides Deathstroke, has).

If it's received better MoS, BvS and SS it absolutely has a chance.

Let's be real, with Snyder's record thus far and this trailer seeming like more of the same from BvS, do you really think he'll have a chance at a billion? It would have to take a colossal aligning of the stars to break the stigma he has as an incompetent director and make his way to 1bil.

Looks no better or worse than BvS did before it hit and I thought that would be fantastic. "I'm rich" is probably the best part of the DCEU so far, which tells you what I think of them.

There were definately some cool parts in this trailer for sure mostly involving the Flash. This movie might be something to get the general public to give a damn about Aquaman too.

I know it's just a preview but it's hard not to get an assumption about how this movie is going to play out based on Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad ... and reactions from Justice League and Wonder Woman.

I don't know where to begin with the Justice League trailer. The visual effects and style feel out of place or just wrong. I'm not a comic book purist. I don't have a high expectation about how these characters are (except Batman to some extent from past movies, cartoons, games, etc)

Flash's suit reminds me of something out of the Power Rangers movie from the mid-90s. It's some flashier (no pun intended) version of a rather subdued suit seen in the TV show. Cyborg almost looks like a Transformer made love to a discarded Iron Man suit.

I mean, to their hand, they at least offer something that looks visually unique to the Marvel films. It just doesn't do them any service.

Does Snyder cut these trailers or is it handled by a marketing department? The "I hear you can talk to fish" line ... which almost looked like Affleck couldn't say with a straight face, didn't resurface in the trailer.

Gal Gadot and Milla Jovovich should have a staring contest. I know the latter isn't in these films but she's another actress that literally has one visible facial expression. To Milla's credit, at least her English is comprehensible.

Having Superman not show up in these trailers is a good thing. I mean, he's "dead" ... Comic book way of saying he's taking time off in Tahiti and will resurrect eventually.

Lastly ... I'm pretty sure the guy that played Danny Rand in Marvel's Iron Fist would have been a better casting pick as Aqua Man in a physical sense. He reminded me of Jason Momoa but had more of the physical characteristics I've seen in comic book and cartoon adaptions. Anyway ... Aquaman is the only character I didn't have a problem with. Despite the redesign from his more contemporary look, I liked Momoa in Stargate Atlantis and think he's generally good at being a badass. He struck me as possibly being the fun character in this film.

I'm up in the air about Affleck's Batman. His Arkham Asylum style fight scene in BvS was fun. Do not care if he straight up murders people. I thought the glove's off approach and no kill rule from the other films being dropped was great. It's just up in the air on whether the good bits of Affleck's Batman will ever grow out and become their own thing in a standalone movie.

Does CGI change much usually from first trailers? I honestly don't remember.

Yes it usually does. Which is why it's facepalm worthy seeing people constantly moan about it.

People either want to wait until a VFX heavy film comes out before they see anything or understand that there is a process of people working very hard on these films refining shots up until they get signed off by the production team.

As with any film like this. Work is put towards specific shots for trailers and they are worked on to to be as 'game ready' as possible at that time. But post production work continues on them as it will on this film over summer. The film is out in November. The progress on the shots so far is amazing when you see how they start. The Cyborg flying scene for instance. I saw that a few months ago as a very rough outline.

!) Reveal vs Now
2) Now vs Reveal

edit
I also noticed Cyborg looks better in the reveal and I have no idea why. Because of the colors?

This was posted a few months ago but it's still revelant https://youtu.be/38Cy_Qlh7VM

That does explain a lot. Zack was - and still is - way too focused in crafting cool moments in his movies, to the point that he forgets to put a sense of time and place to contextualize his characters and their actions.

Ive always wondered why i liked the New York fight in the Avengers much more so than the Smallville fight in MOS even though the former has TV-level quality of cinematography. Now i know why.

That looked considerably better than either avengers movie tbh.

looks like dumb fun. Especially with the flash and the slow mo snyder shit

But I dunno about that final money shot. That was anticlimactic as hell haha

Also Billy Crudup as Barry's father is great casting. Seeing him in jail just like the show and those action shots makes you pretty miffed at what's taking them so long to get that movie in order. Wanna see him with iris too, see how that is working out.

Using come together in a team up movie trailer is pretty novel btw haha

Oh man the DC Iron Man looks really really bad. His face/head just don't mesh at all with the rest. I guess this is unfinished CG?

The uber-generic dialogue at the start doesn't help. "We have to be ready... there's an attack coming. From far away." "No... it's already here." (Also why not just say "war is coming" like everybody else does? "There's an attack coming" Batman pls.)

Uh... wisecracking kid Flash could be neat? Carl Drogo seems to be doing all right as Aquaman, so there's that.

Come Together was a funny choice. I might've gone with Simon & Garfunkel over the Beatles here.

On the whole this doesn't look nearly as terrible as the first Batman bin Suparman or Wonder Woman trailers. Maybe my standards have gone down.

The actors look like they're having a dreadful time and the editing is trying to make them look humorous.

Looks like it could be another borefest. Will wait for reviews.

And it looks so dreary. Is everything in this universe shades of dark greyish blue with orange highlights?

The cyborg point is something I really don't understand in regards to the way they designed him. They went full robot with the exception of half his face, and couldn't be bothered to add a bit more human features? It just looks like an Iron Man rehash.
