I guess it is a known mechanic, but I never picked up on it after a bunch of Souls playthroughs in recent years.

If you do it before activating them you can wail on them for increased damage and watch as they "wake up" and revert back to their chest status. If you have a few talismans on hand mimics can do absolutely nothing to you

I never really understood it tbh. The item description says that they block estus recovery, I'd love to know who figured out you could use them on mimics.

I like how Kay actually tries out the Weapon Skills of new weapons she picks up. Drove me crazy that ENB would read the descriptions and not even be curious to try them...
Forgets the elevator and eats shit against every enemy on the way back to the knights instead of just running away from them
Did well on Vordt with no flasks at least though that fight's always been a bit of a flaccid encounter

So, does
that guy stay hostile if you come back after you've attacked him once? If not, there is still a chance she could find the covenant when she goes back for her souls

I believe she will have multiple chances until she
beats Rotten Treebeard Thing, That's essentially an optional boss, but she will certinly pass the location for it in future episodes

Yeah, the one realistic chance she has
of finding the covenant is at the start of the next episode, if she goes back to get her souls and decides to sneak up on that guy from behind (which will cause her to see the "examine" prompt) over going for a plunge attack

She is amazing, never really like LP's but this is something else and I can't even tell why.

Of course she'd figure it out. I had faith.
I think the only side quest she will completely miss is Sirris. That one is obtuse as hell. I predict she'll get all the others, except possibly the Londor quest, which wouldn't fit with the good character she's role-playing anyway.

I am starting to feel confident Kay will find her way to
in the late game. She seems to have completely stopped reading the online player hint messages - like she did for DSII - which made me think she would miss it, but she already seems more willing to use
than most players so that gives her a chance

I wonder what made her start uploading randomly. Normally it's in the morning but, lately it's been sporadic and sometimes not uploading at all.

Watched up through ep 7, I watched her DS1 playthrough back in the day and only a few of her DS2.
She's taking her time as usual. Very thorough but obviously getting back into the swing of things. Keep waiting for her to figure out you can kick -> riposte shield enemies.

I really wish Kay kept her audience more in touch with what to expect. I totally understand that she does the channel completely for fun, but with nearly 10k subs it'd be nice if she just had somewhere to tell her audience something like "life is getting busy, won't be able to record for _____". I have no expectation of being told why she has to take breaks or anything like that, her life is her business, but having her content just completely dry up then pop back up with no real warning that I can find gets frustrating. Please Kay do as little or as much content as you want/can, but it would be so nice to have some heads up about 1-2 month down times, especially in the middle of a playhtrough. Just help people feel like they have some idea what's going on.

Iirc she's probably not coming back. She's said in comments she's just flat out not feeling it anymore. Perhaps she'll come back but, considering how busy she is irl don't hold your breath.

Ah, just saw one of her comments on episode 13 where she said she wasn't "feeling very video-gamey lately." She's probably just going through a gaming funk. Maybe she'll start uploading again in the future, but yeah, she just needs a break.

Well, it was a lot of fun while it lasted, and i can hardly fault her, as i myself have barely touched any game in the last year, and have no interest in going back, either.
Even during E3 i had to force myself to give a shit, honestly.
It comes and goes, so i'm confident i'll go back to it, probably the same for her.
Yep. I was really relieved seeing the 'not feeling videogamey' comment a few weeks back. Its totally cool if we don't see anymore videos, I just think people get anxious when they don't know the reason.
