It’s funny the way you phrase it, you make it sound like 7 out of 10 is bad.But Gaf told me it was gonna be a 6-7 game at most
I love many 7/10 games too, but a few days ago people here were calling this game mediocre before they even got the chance to play itIt’s funny the way you phrase it, you make it sound like 7 out of 10 is bad.
If we’re honest, most games fall into that category. And some of my favourite games are solid 7s. Instead, we get this silly meta critic nonsense that overrates everything.
Some of you on here love taking Ls don't you?
First Deathloop was gonna be bad for overmarketing.
Then Kena was gonna be bad for undermarketing.
Now it turns out that both were amazing games after all
The Sony Deathloop deal was much more expensive, Sony gets a bigger cut from selling it and also desperately needed a AAA for this year So they are gonna market the shit out of it.Its a shame sony never hyped this game like they did shoving deathloop in yr face at every opportunity, ill defiantly be downloading this later, hope this game sells well, for a small studio and its first game project be intresting to see what comes next
You would need to change your pants 6 times a day if this was on GamePass.I get it, your favorite toy got a timed exclusive and you have to hype it up. But if you truly believe that Kena is "pixar level", you need to have your eyes checked
Funny thing games never hyped by sony will reveal more good most of the time. If I'm not wrong even Ghost of Tsushima wasn't great promoted at launch...Its a shame sony never hyped this game like they did shoving deathloop in yr face at every opportunity, ill defiantly be downloading this later, hope this game sells well, for a small studio and its first game project be intresting to see what comes next

Who's to say they still won't claim its mediocre after playing it? Opinions vary.I love many 7/10 games too, but a few days ago people here were calling this game mediocre before they even got the chance to play it
How is the challenge on hard?! Harder than something like ratchet?! (I know ranged vs melee but you get the gist)Got the bow. Need to quit for the night. Amazing game.
Same way odissey is just origins but worse...PC gamer also gave AC Valhalla a 92 and while I like the game, it's the same as Odyssey but worse.
Have you seen the 15 minutes credits from Demon’s Souls? It’s not only Bluepoint it’s all the outsourcing and other Sony studios helping. I think around 300 people worked on that remake. Add to that a 100+ orchestra.Well neither are big studio are they? About 50-60 people

Even a dud becomes the greatest looking and most enjoyable game on a certain sub.
I didn't, but that wasn't your problem honestly anyways.
Feel free to call me out whenever I call a game "pixar level". Protip: you can't.
lol PC gamer is a joke, they reviewed the game using 8gb of ram when the minimum requirement for this game is 12 gb

The power of raytraced lighting. Pixar quality.
Game length is all over the place right now. I'm interested in how long it takes to get 100%.
Gameinformer 9/10
Polygon din't like it

Oh no, the PSX hater is sad that another PlayStation game is getting good reviews. Are you crying? It’s ok. You can always just write that Returnal didn’t sell. You can also change your avatar to another misogynistic take: fat alloy, black character from Forspoken, and now change it to Kena or maybe Juliana from Deathloop from an ugly freeze frame.Man, the cringy Pixar comparisons never get old. R&C photo mode is at least somewhat close to Pixar, but this? Come on

No, just laughing about the cringy Pixar comparisons. Imagine being upset about a timed exclusive.Oh no, the PSX hater is sad that another PlayStation game is getting good reviews.
Why would you bring up that mega-hit?Are you crying? It’s ok. You can always just write that Returnal didn’t sell.
My soggy knee is a weird thing to bring up too.You can also change your avatar to another misogynistic take: fat alloy, black character from Forspoken, and now change it to Kena or maybe Juliana from Deathloop from an ugly freeze frame.
Certainly, I’m not denying it looks better. I just wanted to post that you used Pixar in a game.killatopak you got me. Now compare those visuals to Kena and you'll see my point In particular, compare the lighting of that game to the screenshot Hobbygaming posted. Lightyears ahead.

He’s a piece of work. Also an antivaxxer. Hilarious stuff.
Good a thread as any to ask, any similar games to this (and Okami, Wind Waker, Spyro remastered, Hat in Time etc) that have released over the PS4/PS5 gen? Google just throws up the same names.I'm enjoying it so far. Very beautiful art direction all around, and the sound design is quite nice. A fun smaller game that harkens back to a time of adventure and discovery, and the price point was generous is this age.
Honestly I'm still in the early game, but overall the game feels more linear than most of those, although more exploration and puzzle focused like a few you mentioned. Its kind of tranquil. I'd say its kind of an Okami, Zelda, Beyond Good and Evil vibe but maybe not as grand as the others. Not a knock against this game, just that it seems to be a more contained adventure using their budget and resources well.Good a thread as any to ask, any similar games to this (and Okami, Wind Waker, Spyro remastered, Hat in Time etc) that have released over the PS4/PS5 gen? Skill Up loved it. He said the P word .
For its low price I don’t even think it’s worth waiting for a Steam/Xbox port, however Switch would be a good fit if they could get it running.Oh wow, Ars Technica have called it a contender for Game of the Year. That's quite a contrast to Eurogamer's somewhat "meh" take on it.
Review: Kena: Bridge of Spirits is this year’s best Zelda 35th-anniversary gift
Studio's first-ever game is a 15-hour adventuring triumph, GOTY contender.arstechnica.com
re: this coming to Game Pass (if / when Xbox port happens) - given it's a EGS exclusive, I guess that discounts that possibility?

I would say Tearaway Unfolded, but its combat system is very different than Kena and the games you mentioned.Good a thread as any to ask, any similar games to this (and Okami, Wind Waker, Spyro remastered, Hat in Time etc) that have released over the PS4/PS5 gen? I’ve platted Tearaway on Vita and all the Sly, Ratchet and Jak games. I just love that childhood magic feeling.I would say Tearaway Unfolded, but its combat system is very different than Kena and the games you mentioned.
