How do you officially sanction something that was never copywritten to begin with?
Love the concept, but I'm not sure that trailer was gameplay.Part of the Planetary Annihilation team of Uber Entertainment has splitted off to work on a new RTS title called Human Resources.

DAT TRAILER. The goal is $1.4 million is pretty ambitious being that not everyone liked PA.

H.P. Lovecraft's The Case of Charles Dexter Ward
I don't really understand how it can be officially sanctioned since he's long dead and didn't have children. There were a couple of "Call of Cthulhu" games, too. They had a license from Arkham House for the non-HPL stuff...
This looks mighty fine, but yeah, officially sanctioned seems weird.

Leery of what? Projects being scams?Looks cool I am going to have to try that demo out.
I don't like kickstarting stuff, I am just too leery, but I will gladly contribute in other ways, ie; awareness etc. and once a project is completed I will buy it. I am glad others have more of a stomach for this kind of crowd funding risk than me.
No just not coming through at all not necessarily a scam, or it coming through in a timely manner. I can do more with that money now, rather than tying it up in a kickstarter.Leery of what? Projects being scams?
Ah, yeah, that's definitely trueNo just not coming through at all not necessarily a scam, or it coming through in a timely manner. I can do more with that money now, rather than tying it up in a kickstarter.
I don't want or need rewards, and I don't believe in the whole its a preorder thing either. I don't preorder game anyway.
Trust me it has been hard too, there have been several games with early bird discounts and they look awesome, but again I don't have the appetite for the risk that others do. That's what it ultimately boils down to. Even for a $15 pledge I would rather put that money in to something I can use now and is more tangible.
Hello, Phil from Square Enix Collective here - apologies for the intrusion, but the dev hasn't had his GAF account authorised yet, so posting on their behalf.

Here's the campaign trailer - definitely worth a look.
The game has 17 days remaining on its campaign, and stands at just over £12,000 of a total £25,000 target. There's plenty more visual goodness on the campaign itself.
The guys from Elegy gave me an alpha to check out. What a unique game. So oddly fun and interesting.

DamnHazewalker kickstarter canceled. That was fast.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/theoryform/hazewalker/posts/1023699
After reading and re-reading all of the feedback that we have received on articles, forums, and other sources, one thing has become clear: we are not making the game that people are excited to play...
...For now, we intend to put Hazewalker to the side, and look to our next project and exploring all of the possibilities that it holds.
Personally there hasn't been much kickstarters lately that have been to my liking. That's a lot of Kickstarters unlikely to meet their funding goals. I think the general audience is a bit sick of crowd-funding right now.
The time has come to shut down the Kickstarter for Human Resources. Every Kickstarter prediction model is showing that we will come up woefully short of our goal. Running a Kickstarter is a full time job for several people. As a small indie, we cant continue spending time and money focusing on a project that wont get funded. We simply dont have the human resources. #seewhatididthere
So what happens now? After we've spent some recovery time, which consists of a dark room and probably some sobbing, Nate and I will regroup and figure out what to do next. Who knows what the future holds for Human Resources? One thing is for sure, Human Resources, as pitched in this Kickstarter, is over. But we adore the world of Human Resources and will endeavor to do what we can to bring it to life in some form.
