I'm sure all of these new PS+ subscribers didn't pay money to have a chance to become a beta tester. The PS+ subscribers that were subscribers prior to this announcement may not have paid to be a KZ3 beta tester, but those who just became a subscriber most definitely did. Keep on drinking that Koolaid, bro.

As for MAG / Zipper vs. KZ2 / GG, I don't know how you can argue how these 2 first party devs treated their fans and how they patched their games. Zipper came out with 4 patches. They fixed most issues people had with the game and actually listened to the fanbase for the most part. Sure, they sometimes screwed up the game with their patches and the game isn't perfect, but what online game is?

What has GG done to KZ2 that makes them so worthy of GAF's praise and worship? Absolutely shit, that's what. People like me, Lince, and the various hardcore fans on the official forums have listed so many flaws with KZ2 for months on end, hoping GG will fix at least half of the things wrong with the game, but all they did was change the way the game controlled (which didn't need to be changed) and immediately started work on KZ3.

Face it, GAF is a bunch of graphic-whore fanboys that love defending extremely flawed games and their developers. They ignore glaring, game-breaking issues in favor of splurging on eye candy. Now, you guys are defending Sony's decision to make a money grab just so you can have a shot to play the beta, acting like PS+ is some sort of great service when most of you berated MS at one time or another in the past for their shitty business practices. I predict most of you won't even provide substantial feedback to GG and are going to treat this "public" beta as yet another glorified demo.

You must not have been there when GAFA consistently beat GAFe the first 2-3 months of KZ2's release. Heck, even GAFE (GAF East) beat GAFe the first month of the game's release. I still remember us beating them in a best of 5 series of games, after the 3 or 4 US GAF clans merged into GAFA... with us winning 3 of the 5 games. They deny it ever happened to this day, but it did happen. It's hilarious how they're still holding onto that "tournament" they won when GAFA and many other top-tier KZ2 clans didn't even participate in it. Yes, Euro GAF did eventually destroy GAFA when most of our good players finally gave up on the game due to GG not patching the game.

I can understand that this sounds hypocritical, but there is a big difference because PSN+ is first of all a content subscription. People may get it for whatever feature etc. but this doesn't change the fact that you can actually determine the value of the base content provided which is not possible for XBL Gold. Especially as Gold includes stuff that is fundamental AND doesn't cost MS "anything" (while you already pay for a full game which includes the online modes).

Ironically, it feels like many more PS3 owners are against PSN+ than 360 owners are against Gold. ^^

Not about the beta per se, but this MTV writer really loves Move with it, movement compromises acknowledged.

'Killzone 3' With PlayStation Move Is The Way To Play It

You have the option of going into iron sights, but more often than not the standard reticule works fine for close and medium range targets. Better than fine, in fact, as I was able to clear a room of Helghast in mere seconds, lining up headshots which normally would've required careful cover and preparation. Suddenly close-range combat, which was a bit clumsy in "Killzone 2," feels a lot more like an option.

I would definitely say that your aiming will improve dramatically when using PlayStation Move with "Killzone 3." Movement, admittedly, is going to be a bit trickier, as turning your character around takes more time than it would with a standard analog. But you gain the benefit of being able to run in one direction and fire at enemies in your periphery, without having to turn the camera towards them. It's a move that Arnold patented with his M60 in "Commando" and finally you get to replicate it in a video game.

Throwing grenades works great with Move, as well. No silly throw-movement is required. You simply hit the L1 button on your sub-controller and point your reticule where you want things to explode. It's way faster than throwing an accurate grenade with the Dual Shock, and feels more fluid as well.
