Hideo Kojima is touring Europe, celebrating the MGS series' 25th anniversary. But really, he's just going around drinking expensive wine and showing his pants to the world on Twitter. Sometimes, he's also talking in interviews.
In Paris, him and Yoji Shinkawa gave a 90 min "master class" interview, in front of an audience (see full video here: http://www.gameblog.fr/news/28829-kojima-shinkawa-la-conference-metal-gear-integrale-en-video )
A few interesting details that came out of it:
He and his team have been following Sony's hardware and it's evolution with their games so far, but not anymore. He believes in "cloud gaming" as the next big thing.
They've been working on Fox Engine for 2-3 years, and he wants to demonstrate the engine in July, because that's when the series will hit 25 years in Japan.
That demo will not be related to Project Ogre, but just the engine.
For E3, Rising will be playable!
He also talks about being done with Snake's story, but still having things to say about The Boss.
Eventually, he would like to open other KojiPro studios, in the West. That's one of the reasons why they've been recruiting at GDC.
Haven't watched the whole interview yet, so maybe I'm missing a few things...
