I'll finally be able to see Snakes face in MGS1 for the first time!

P.S. My first post on NeoGAF! Woop Woop.

I like it! Would be happier with a MG1/MG2 remake instead (I have two Subsistences yet still have not been able to finish these, maybe on Vita finally I will,) but MGS1 is clearly well-deserving of a remastering despite Twin Snakes already revisiting the territory.

Since they're not actually working on The Phantom Pain, Kojima should get Mogren's team at Moby Dick Studios to make the game...

HOLY FUCK! I played the shit out of MGS1. I finished the game on all difficulties both endings and finished almost all of the damned VR missions on PS1.

Definitely want this to happen.

Well, that's neat.

How about MG1 and MG2 instead once you're done with MGSV though? Those games need a more serious overhaul especially in light of where the prequels went, but then again I guess he'd rather have Kojima Productions on those fully.

There really is only one other studio capable of doing MGS justice. And that is Naughty Dog. But they're Sony exclusive so I can't imagine that happening. Hopefully KojiPro makes the remake.

Nah don't care for another MGS1 remake.

What I need is a Solid Snake vs Gray Fox fist fight in the middle of minefield in glorious next gen.

please do it with "normal" cutscenes this time around

I want to blame Dennis Dyack but i'm pretty sure the cutscenes were directed by the same guy who did Devil May Cry. I have no idea why Kojima or Silicon Knights didn't tell the guy he was an idiot and hire someone who understands the grounded nature of MGS.

Pretty sure that it was Kojimas idea to have the cutscenes like that.

Another MGS remake? Cut your loses on Twin Snakes an move on.

If you're going to remake something, maybe go MG1 and MG2.

I loved those cutscenes. Gave the remake a unique spin so atleast it was something new.

You know, an HD port of the gamecube remake might be what he was talking about. Just someone to put it on 360 and ps3 to build up to the release of mgs:5. I know he said fox engine, but that sounds more realistic to me. If the PS2 games can come to 360. I don't see how nintendo and now the non-existent silicon knights could hold up production.

I always viewed it like someone was retelling the events of MGS, so the story is exaggerated. Snake is such a legend at that point that it wouldn't be too hard to believe there is a rumor about him jumping off of a rocket.

That man is a genius, his skill was wasted on an IP that is way too grounded in reality (in regards to its "action" ) to appreciate it. HE should direct more Devil May cry cutscenes, and more of his ideas should be implemented into gameplay.

Yeah, Ryuhei Kitamura is awesome. Hopefully he and Tak Sakaguchi will finally make Versus 2.

On one had, It'd be nice to have MGS1 in HD. On the other hand, this makes me wanna wait for the seemingly inevitable Super Duper Mega Deluxe MGS Legacy Collection Plus for the PS4 that includes MGS1 Re-Re-make and MGS5.

Edit: Also, paging David Hayter?

I'd rather get a next-gen Policenauts. I mean, just imagine Beyond in 3D glory.

Yeah, dude obviously has talent with the action stuff, he was just as you said---wasted on the first Metal Gear Solid game, which Kojima probably thought was cool at the time.

Twin Snakes could easily be Otacon's recounting of the Shadow Moses Uprising.

Otacon: "It wasn't as dramatic as your entrance, believe me. I'm afraid of heights."

Snake: "You were watching?"

Otacon: "Yeah, I was watching. I was riding in the back of their truck----You're incredible... like a movie hero or something."

Otacon: "I always suspected there was a little something crazy about you, Snake. But hearing that story... Now I know it. You're nuts! Single-handedly taking out a tank? That's crazy! You're insane!"

Snake: "Otacon, is this your idea of a compliment?"

Otacon: "Yes! You're the toughest, craziest, most hardcore badass on the planet. You're... the shit!"

Yes, please keep the original voice and soundtrack also, even as just an option.
Twin Snake's new recordings just do not compare (voice and especially the horrible soundtrack).
