Judas is definitely far better than Born This Way. Neither match any songs from The Fame Monster, though. Let's hope she pulls out some better singles.
More the chorus bit. Over, and over, and over. "I'm beautiful in my way.."BertramCooper said:I just didn't find the "I was born this wuuuh-hey...I was born this wuuuh-hey," garbage very catchy at all. Just annoying.

Disappointing career downturn for sure.

Yeah, The Fame was way too Gwen Stefani-ish for my tastes.julls said:But the Fame has so much filler junk on itFame Monster was leagues ahead, imo.

Eh, bad move on her behalf. She sounds so dramatic and annoying in those quotes. It's not like she's said something horribly wrong, but it definitely throws some of my respect for her up in the air.julls said:
Kinda how I feel.Souldriver said:Second, which I find more perplexing considering it is "just pop", is that there seems to be some revisionist history on what Gaga has accomplished before Born This Way. Especially in regards to the Monster album. If I read people's posts, it sounds like that album is a timeless masterpiece. But when I look at the tracklisting, I see Bad Romance, Alejandro, Monster and Telephone as good songs. Bad Romance is a fantastic song, but it still is just 4 great songs. Just because it's an 8-song album, which gives it a 50/50 on good/bad songs, doesn't make it extraordinary in my book. I know lots of pop albums that have 4 songs that I like. As for the Fame album, the singles were great, but the album is full of Mandy Moore bubblegum pop as well, that I think many people hate.

I get what you mean, but it's better to use "stupid" if you just want to use a word that's inherently negative for safety. Retarded is a medical term used to classify people with mental retardation. So yeah, stupid =/= retarded. But let's go to the Kobe Bryant thread with this, I hear they're having a blast over there!S. L. said:whats wrong with that?
retarded is an inherently negative word, gay is not

I feel like honestly that God sent me those lyrics and that melody...There's no way for something that pure to be wrong.
Part of the job.Nemesis556 said:She has usually never said anything negative. I know everyone thinks I am defending her all the time but just think how many times she's been asked this question. >_>
She shoulda known saying that was gonna bite her in the ass. Journalists in those industries always wanna exploit quotes like that. She coulda used a better word, though.julls said:

Very disappointed that she said that, even though the interviewer seemed like an asshole.julls said:

Though it speaks (sad) volumes that the majority of the negative press is directed at how it's bad because she said it, instead of how it's bad because it is simply an awful thing to say.
Oh god gaga.. say it ain't so..Phonomezer said:And this is after saying that she "got Madonna's blessing to release Born This Way" on Jay Leno and a day later Madonna's publicist saying "no she didn't" - hahahaha.

Just because I'm the first f**king artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist. It means I'm f**king smart. Sorry.
she's only 24? how old was she when she was writing for britney? it totally thought she was older than that.brianjones said:
Lady Gaga has revealed that Madonna has given the 'Bad Romance' hitmaker's new single, 'Born This Way,' her blessing.
Gaga has recently received harsh criticism for the track since its release last Friday, with many saying it's too reminiscent of Madonna's 1989 hit 'Express Yourself.'
In an interview with Jay Leno last night, Gaga said, "The good news is I got an email from her people sending me their love and support on behalf of the single. And if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be."
Lady Gaga, who has always professed her admiration for Madonna, also responded to the criticism: "You know, there is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan, personally and professionally."
Gaga added that she wanted a specific vibe for 'Born This Way,' one that would help express more of a dance party feel. "The freedom in the song, the R&B, early '90s vibe that it has, it's so full of love and spirit, and I think that it's the spirit that people are reacting to the most. I just want everyone to rejoice and celebrate and be unafraid to be happy. It doesn't always have to be so dark. It doesn't always have to be so sexy. Sometimes it's wonderful just to celebrate life and kind of go to church with it."
The single is currently No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
What the fuck? That's messed up.Fantastical said:Saw her last night in Nashville. Biggest boner deflation ever when her second encore was Born This Way and then the lights came on and fucking Judas played as we were leaving (not a performance, just the song on the speakers).
What the fuck, Gaga. I actually really like Judas.
I know! People started dancing and everything and then the cover or whatever for Judas was projected on the stage... and we left.JackEtc said:What the fuck? That's messed up.
