LeBron James' NBA Finals record: 2-4

Still, pretty impressive to see him in 5 straight Finals appearance, and quite possibly another Finals appearance next year if Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and Varejao are all 100% healthy. Will go down as a top-5 or top-10 player of all time when all is said and done.

It's just weird he hasn't won a championship for his hometown team yet.

Yeesh. LeBron's basically Carmelo Anthony.

Cavs going to need the dude in your avatar as the team doctor if they want Kyrie to make it to the finals next season

Sure the Stat makes him look bad but actually watching this series should move Bron up people's list of greatest ever not lower.

I feel the comparisons with Michael Jordan are ridiculous. At this point, it is up to debate if he was better than Kobe, and the argument is on Kobe's favor.

Still a top 5 of all time player.

Its just he could not carry this team to a winning series. Crazy they managed to get two wins after Irving went down.

I hope they win it next year.

It was shocking they made it this for to be honest and I was sort of rooting for them as everyone counted them out. Also shows how good LeBron is and just how terrible so many NBA teams are that one man can carry a team like the Cavs to the finals. NY we almost did it.

You mean *0-4.

The win against the Spurs was a total fluke as proven the following year, and the win against the Thunder came during a lock-out shortened season where half the league was injured.

Bron has no legit championships.

He basically played with bench players this whole series. There is only so much you can do when you can't rely on anyone else besides yourself and that only takes you so far.

What a tired and pathetic argument

Oh get off this crap.

Anyone who faults him for this loss is delusional, and probably a desperate Kobe stan. Dude played his ass off and got a bunch of scrubs within two games of a championship. I assumed the team would implode after Kyrie went down.

Triple doubles in 5 games. The man is a beast and his stats prove otherwise. It sad that he did everything he could and still lost. He passed, he dominated, he set up and just nothing... Man I feel so bad but he is still the greatest.

Is it really cursed or just a bad management history?

Both? As they were quick to show during the finals with a highlight reel of our most heartbreaking Cleveland sports moments, the curse is "real." Classy move to show that by the way.

Lots of bad management for sure though.

Championships are won as a team. You couldn't switch out LeBron with any other player with that same squad and be as competitive. He basically played with all bench players.

It's just weird he hasn't won a championship for his hometown team yet.

Yeesh. LeBron's basically Carmelo Anthony.

Why is it weird? He has been their twice with the Cavs and carried them on his back both times. It's not like he had a supporting cast the first time around and this time they were plagued with injuries.

No other player in the NBA has the ability to make this series interesting with the support LBJ had.

Well most of those looses were 5-1 or 5-2.

I really can't fault Lebron, honestly.

And we're really gonna count the loss he had as a kid basically against the Spurs, where he took a bunch of no names to the Finals?

Always the hyperbole machine in NBA threads here.

This is beyond ridiculous. lol.

And last year???
That Heat team was trash last year too.

And last year???
He played a team playing some of the best basketball I've ever seen in my life. The Heat lost last year and they lost against a better team. Lebron isn't worse because of it and we can't take away from how unstoppable the Spurs were.

Lebron doesn't need to be GOAT, but if he's not chipping every year it doesn't mean he's bad. He's a phenomenal player and if I had to pick one player to lead my team to a championship it would be him.

That's what happens when you can stroll through the buttery-soft Eastern Conference and then have to face the Western conference in a real series.

The fact he took the warriors to so many OTs and 2 wins with that supporting cast of the same 7 benchers (who were all gassed by the end of the 3rd)

speaks greatly of lebron, since he still had to put up triple doubles and lead.

LeBron just doesn't have the "killer" instinct that guys like MJ, Kobe and Wade have.

It's no surprise that the only 2 he won were under the guidance of Wade and Riley.

The fuck is this shit

Heat from 2011-2013 were vicious competitors

Unless buzzer beaters don't count in any games now

Or when you lose two of your best players to injuries and your other options are unproven talent.

Again, I can't believe anyone would try to compare LeBron to MJ with a straight face. Unless they are a disingenuous media personality trying to create an angle to generate clicks.

LeBron vs. Kobe vs. Duncan is a fair comparison and they each have a case .
