I still have the disc for this game. The first game is better overall but the battle system in this is amazing. Its my third favorite turned based battle system after Grandia 3 and 2.
You can't catch lil summons in this one but its way easier to keep doing cool moves as you have reg moves that gain ap and super omega moves that use them.
Unfortunately there is an item in this game I think its called full power or something, That if you choose to use it will make all bosses except the casino super bosses into a joke. You don't get it right away but its not really that late in the game if my memory serves me right. Especially if you choose to use cooking buffs.
Infact thinking about it now. That cooking buff system is maybe where FF15 got it from who knows. ( although I think there is another game that I cxan't remember that did it before this game) There are a lot of recipes that you can get and then cook in camp that can give you buffs. Also like grandia 2 I like interactive camps where the characters have a nice interaction till you leave.
Anyway I'll double dip on a ps4 version if it shows up.
Will get this again, still have my copy (and the first game, which I MUCH prefer). Few of my friends want to play them and really wish the first would appear on PSN, it's not exactly cheap being at ~£50 (second hovers around £5) but this is a start. Could post it to lend it them, but the risk of damage is high as post stuff hasn't been very good around here lately :\
