Totally getting that if its 50 bucks. So good.

It will be my first display LEGO ever. It is perfect for when I setup my basement theatre.

First of all, this is my first time posting on this thread.
I always liked to build Lego sets and recently my mother began to enjoy them as well.
Now we had a bit of free space at home and decided to display some our Star Wars sets.
We still have one ship to build and put it with the others but this is how the sets are displayed now.
The second pic doesn't have the AT-AT but it shows how they look at night with the lights on.

That gave me inspiration for when I get donated the playroom as a 'dad room'. Probably partitioning off one end as a store cupboard and I could build in something like this.

Popped into my local department store to see if they had the F40 (they dont). But they have all the Scooby doo sets, and new Minecraft ones I hadn't seen before - 21118/19/20/21/22, zombie dungeon, abandoned mine, snow biome, desert (with Steve and Alex), and nether fortress (?) With ghast

All seem really expensive though

new LEGO dimensions trailer shows gameplay and layout of various playable worlds

hmm not sure what to think of this tbh, I mean as a huge fan of actual Lego games this sort of looks like the best thing ever IF all those worlds are actually FULLY realized like in their other games... Part of me can't help but think they will just be bite sized worlds to keep you buying the packs etc.

Alright, it's been a fun week of Lego building, courtesy of some very giving and thoughtful relatives (these were all birthday gifts)!

So, what is this first thing?

jjxHN7E.jpg

It's probably a boat:

No, it's the pretty great Blue Power Jet!

What's this thing looking at me while I take its picture? And what is it attached to, some kind of semi-trailer?

Discovery, you beautiful bastard!

Alright Lego aficionados, what's this Cowboy gun and barrel selection?

H5AO1D2.jpg

I never saw gun holsters like these in Deadwood or any Clint Eastwood film ever!

The haul in totality, plus bonus supplementary alternate build:

All truly fabulous display items, but I'm not gonna lie, the little Compact Tracked Loader is just about my favourite of the bunch (Discovery may have it pipped). It's a stunning little Technic kit and building it reminded me why I adore Lego so much (despite the sore index fingers!) Building the Ghostbusters set is also a real treat: the box is nicer than all these others, the instructions thoughtful and filled with GB quips, including the best one ("If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say")

So with that in mind, I'll be loading up on some more Technics (and maybe Mindstorm) in the near future (though I may have to grab the Mini Cooper before it goes out of print if the F40 is indicative of the quality of Creator Expert). Now though of course I need somewhere to display these bloody things!

I'm happy to answer any questions about the F40, or supply other pics (I took heaps so I could share with the distant relos) if anyone is interested. It was quite a treat building these different sets from different themes and even different eras (particularly going straight from the Blue Power Jet to Discovery, and seeing the differences in how Lego now print their instructions and colours etc.)

Nice haul. Is that a new shuttle?

if you like the F40, you have to get the VW Camper. Best of all the creator expert vehicles IMO

I really want that F40. Think I'm going to the Lego store tomorrow, can't hold off any longer.

I've been spending the last 20 mins splooging over these, the slimer is a bit disappointing to be honest though, I prefer the custom one I have. The sad fact is I see all these at the same time as everyone else!

I agree you deserve better :p

I'm happy with the slimer for the most part. The sculpt is really good. The face feels sort of un-LEGO like at first glance, but hopefully it grows on me.

Stay Puft has a great head piece. It's weird that he's minifig size but I suppose that's really all they could do if they wanted to release him for this game. It's still going to be cool to own him.

Yeah stay puft is rad, I want one the size of those big alarm clocks

Pieces every where. He went from so excited to so upset in microseconds. Ha.

Found everything except 1 grey slope two x wedge. 4567887 to be exact. Sadly no extras so I improvised with two blue one x wedges.

Good times.

This is a prime situation to teach your kid, "Hey, it's just LEGO we can put it back together even better than before!".

My four year old and I stopped off at the LEGO Discovery Center in Toronto yesterday. It's just as lame as it was when I took my older girl a few years ago. They did have a pretty cool Star Wars room featuring "moving" parts though. Kids could press a button and something would spin, shake or light up. One of the scenes was the Geonosian arena and they had...a lot of Geonosians there.

At this point I feel Lego Dimensions is doing everything right except the actual game.

Im sold and instabuy for most of the packs but still not bothered about the actual product quite yet.

Yeah, I'd like to know more about the actual gameplay. That is what killed Disney Infinity for me. I instabought every single one of the series 1 characters and level packs. But, when I actually played the game it was horrible. If we can get high level LEGO gameplay with the Dimensions worlds and character swaps that would be awesome.

Nah, it's the age-old 7470 model. It happened to come up reasonably cheap second hand and locally so it was acquired. I'm hoping those two new Shuttle sets also appear locally and thus I shall have them.

Thanks for the recommendation on the VW. I'll keep an eye out for it as well, then!

That individual who got the Ecto-1 made through Cusoo is the reason Lego bought the rights to the Ghostbusters, correct? Was that person a GAFer? Pretty damn cool to think that person is the reason these packs are being made if so.

I had almost talked myself out of going into this game but that trailer just looks so good. Those worlds look really beautiful, that Lord of the Rings world, ungh. And then we get the Ghostbusters reveal...le sigh.

I think many people will buy them for the figs and sell the game disc thing to recoup the cost. Dimensions will be crazy for collectors as they scramble to keep what they want and offload what they don't.

The best case scenerio would be to find a fan of just the game and create a symbiotic relationship with where you split the costs. They keep the game stuff, you keep the lego stuff.

Please let me know if there is a website for making matchups like that...eGameHarmony.com or something.

right, good luck with that :( I don't know ANYONE at all who is even a fan of regular Lego games (save my wife but that really doesn't help at all somehow)

This is a prime situation to teach your kid, "Hey, it's just LEGO we can put it back together even better than before!".

I totally did. Gave him a hug and told him, "This is LEGO buddy, it's what it does." Then I made him sit with the ruined Spaceship while I gathered pieces and then we rebuilt it.

Great little LEGO teaching moment.

Slimer, we all expected. I kind of wish his mouth/tongue was more moulded to look like his render but otherwise I think he looks great.

Venkman we knew about. I assumed there would be a micro build Ecto-1, it looks so cute!! Gonna have to fight the urge to buy four of these to replace the arms on the other minifigures with the new printed No-Ghost patch arms. >_<

But as I scrolled and saw Stay Puft, I almost broke my jaw with how fast it hit the floor. I snapped an O-Face of shock so fast I thought my face was gonna tear in half. Talk about out of left field. Holy shit. To say I'm psyched would be the biggest understatement imaginable. He looks so good. What an amazing surprise.

I hope that we carry Dimensions sets at the Lego Store so I can use my discount on them, but I'm also terrified that the sets I want will be long gone by the time we're allowed to buy them. ;___;

So I've been having a ton of fun building LEGO with my three year old son. President Business' Lair, Cloud Cuckoo Palace, and our most eecent build, Benny's Spaceship Spaceship Spaceship.

Well, I made the mistake over overestimating his strength and let him swoosh the ship around (normally he just flies the Octan Fighter Jet).

He got one, complete, full body rotation in when he just drops it. Bottom up.

Pieces every where. He went from so excited to so upset in microseconds. Ha.

Found everything except 1 grey slope two x wedge. 4567887 to be exact. Sadly no extras so I improvised with two blue one x wedges.

next time you are walking about with nothing on your feet, you will most certainly find that piece!

I can't seem to link it from my phone but there's a Dimensions screen shot over on BrickFan of Stay Puft riding on the back of the Terror Dog that is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

So there were rumours that Scooby-Doo would be a one and done line. When would we find out if this was true or not? The two sets I've built were fantastic, and the rest look good too, so I'd be disappointed if it turns out they're the only ones we're getting. It'd also be a chance to fix what I see as the theme's biggest weak point: the villain selection.

What is with target? It's been five days and they don't have any of the new bionicle sets. It's not even listen on their site to order. Kinda frustrating since I just got a gift card. I thought they were better than this

Meijer just put a ton of their clearance LEGO to 50% off finally, so I snagged Witch King Battle for $7.50. They had a bunch of Sentinel sets left which was shocking.

Sadly, the 50% off wave didn't hit the Friends aisle yet. Gotta snag a Heartlake Mall for half price when it goes. They still have about eight or so of them left too.

This thing just doesn't seem to be moving at all. It's (IMO) up there with the Milano & Hydra jeep as one of the best super hero sets of 2014. It's so surprising to me that a solid ship with awesome figures is just sitting on shelves, sale after sale.

WALL-E looks amazing.

When is the actual thing out again? I mean the finished game?

Their release schedule is screwy but going by my preorders (NA) Sept. 27th is the main game with wizard of oz, scooby doo, portal and BTTF level packs but the Doc Brown fig has a release day in January. Dr. Who level pack is nov. 3rd but the Cyberman fun pack is in January also. Huh this is crazy, the Bane fun pack is saying May of next year. These are all over the place.

Stopped into TRU and struck out on the Joker Bumper car polybag. Not sure I want to go back there and buy something overcharged just for it next weekend. Scooby Doo sets were cleaned out but they had 1 Mansion left and some mummy sets. Looked at the new Ninjago sets up close, man those are so good. That City of Stiix set is really nice and a gem of a parts pack. So many boat pieces in that set, weird how they worked them into the actual tower build.

If Marvel makes it into Lego Dimensions I hope hope HOPE they finally make an official Galactus minifig. With Fox and Marvel on the outs and no hope of an actual FF set any time soon it's the only way I can see them doing it.

Though I guess then they might have to do the rest of the FF... finally. (Although we do have Doom from that Spidey set)

21026 Venice (EUR 29.99)
21027 Berlin (EUR 29.99)
21028 New York City (EUR 49.99)

I'm assuming these are just placeholder locations for whatever building they choose from that city.

Nexo Knights appears to be the name of the upcoming Castle theme, and it sounds very Ninjago-ish.

Speed Champions is back!

Looks like Marvel and DC will be getting battle packs.

Marvel has a LOT of sets for the first half of 2016.

A large chunk of Star Wars sets are missing - what about 75119 to 75124? Hmmm....

Star Wars battlepacks seem to have a price increase.

The Disney sets apparently are DUPLO? Boooo!

Some sets are still missing, which were on the previous lists.
