Dude loved prostitutes, I think he admitted to sleeping with thousands, smoked all the time and drank like a fish and he made it to seventy.

Not bad, not bad at all lol.

Fucking Overkill is the song I'll be blasting till next year. RIP Phil, RIP Lemmy. Kick some fucking angel ass.

They proved me wrong,

Good ol' Lemmy. Motorhead were putting out some of their best music in years, too.

Seeing the Lemmy doc at IFF Boston with a bunch of drunk metalheads in attendance is one of my favorite movie-going experiences ever. I should have seen them when they toured this past time. Damnit.

They skipped shows at the tail end cause Lemmy was sick. Wouldn't shock me if he was sick for the last few years and just though he could drink it away instead of see a Doctor.

I don't remember, was it Grohl who told the whiskey story in that? Always cracks me up.

What the fuck?! No way no way

RIP Lemmy :( You were one of the all time greatest. I'm so glad now I saw Motorhead live in 2012.

I was gonna see them in Montreal. As far as I know, they played that one.

I believe so. I haven't seen it in a while. The crowd kept booing every time Lars came on screen, which was fantastic.

RIP King of Kings. This news makes me sad.

I last saw Motorhead (they stole the show) just a few years back with Megadeth and Volbeat.

Expected as he has been very sick, but not less sad.

One of Heavy Metal greater legends...or Rock 'n' Roll legends, as he would prefer.

Lemmy is God! R.I.P.

RIP, Lemmy.

I refuse to be sad, though. Lemmy left such a legacy, was such an icon, and lived his life just the way he wanted to, that we should raise our hats, drink some whiskey and celebrate the 70 years he raised hell on this mortal plane.

Here's one to ya, Lemmy.

*raises a glass*

Saw them a month or so ago in Detroit. Completely lackluster performance which seemed to be entirely because Lemmy just seemed sick and tired.

Still glad I could finally see Motorhead before he passed. RIP.

RIP your warts have escaped this mortal realm..
You fucking legend. Dammit it's Ozzy and Richards who are left standing..

Damn, legend. RIP. I had the pleasure of seeing them one time with Dio (RIP)and iron maiden.

Whelp, I guess it's time for me to watch that Episode of the Young Ones that guest starred Motorhead as the musical act.

didn't he live on a diet of meat and liquor? think I remember reading that somewhere

Don't know about the meat, but for sure the liquor. If I remember correctly, he had diabetes and refused to switch out the coke in his jack and coke. And in the Lemmy doc Dave Navarro recounted his first meeting with Lemmy in which the first thing he did was offer Navarro some crystal meth. So he lived pretty awful, health wise.

RIP Lemmy.

Just to clear up some confusion the Facebook statement is referring to the Rainbow Bar & Grill which is a famous bar in Hollywood, not Rainbow Six. The game mentioned is Pick 21 which is a classic bar game based on blackjack.

As a 13 year old kid who was into metal seeing Motorhead on a show like The Young Ones was awesome. Mum was not amused, i was ecstatic :)
... Also seeing him in "Hardware" when i was heavily into cyberpunk, post-apocalypse stuff and war robots. The dude managed to pop up in random stuff for most of my teenage years. Damn i wish i could find my VHS tapes of the BBC2 HeadBangers Ball back in the 90s. A weekend of documentaries and shows on british metal presented by Elvira, Lemmy was in a couple of them i think.

RIP Lemmy, you are a fucking legend! \m/
