Live blog from Level-5's Vision Conference

Is this where they'll be making their 'shocking announcements'?
Of course, anyone with access to Famitsu will know what those surprises are,
Maybe not, I assume it was just what was in the Famitsu thread the other day.

The blog says there are 7 announcements, and those include Layton, WKC, and DQ9. So the 4 games that were shown in Famitsu are the other titles. I guess the shocking announcement was Ninokuni, because of the Ghibli collaboration.

Anoop's host doesn't seem like it's ready for the SHOCKING nature of the conference. Or maybe GAF is just too much for it. :lol

Whoever said ALL the announcements is the revolution was right! :lol

Makes sense, they had 7 games in Famitsu and that's what'll be featured.

Fake Edit: OH NOES! :lol

He jokes that some people may be so surprised that they'll get ill.

Lol...bring the inazuma eleven game + anime to europe xD

I am a little confused though -- why would there be any surprise in the new game announcements if it was just the games that were in Famitsu this week (which is already officially out)? And I'm still not sure why DQ9 or WKC would be there. Is Anoop sure of that or just assuming? If it says on his blog, I apologise, it doesn't load for me.

16:12 -- But, then he says that there will be new information as well!

16:12 -- Ooh... he admits that some of of the information got leaked early on the net.

16:12 -- He says he has a bunch of surprises today.

16:29 -- He asks people to solve a puzzle from the game.

16:29 -- The series is called "Atamania"

16:29 -- New series, "Atama ni wo."

I think this is the title that's been translated as Akira Tago's Brain Exercise Vol.1 Travel Around the World Solving Puzzles on some English sites.

16:28 -- Now, Hino moves on to Revolution 2.

Well...I guess not everything was in this weeks Famitsu. o_O

Hino just mentioned WKC and DQIX in passing at the start of the conference. I guess he's just keeping people updated that those big games are coming out soon. The conference isn't about them. The conference already started and it's being liveblogged, but thanks to it being posted on GAF and 2ch, the server will not survive. :lol

You were right about it not surviving :(

Hmm... if Revolution 2 covers both Akira Tago's Brain Exercise Vol.1 Travel Around the World Solving Puzzles and Sloane and McHale's Mysterious Story, I wonder what the last one is.

So, there are supposed to be 7 Revolutions right?

Revolution 1 = Layton (Layton 3, Layton Mobile portal, New Layton mobile title, upcoming live action movie and animated movie)

Revolution 2 = Atamania (series of unrelated DS puzzle games, first two titles were the ones on Famitsu's schedule list but not featured in the mag)

Revolution 3 = Inazuma Eleven (anime, etc)

That's where we're at now. Let's see if they reveal Inazuma Eleven Break...

Edit: Aaaaaand...

16:44 -- However, the footage looked like high level Wii fotage.

16:43 -- Just to make sure, the platform is officially listed as TBA.

16:43 -- He doesn't announce a platform, but it definitely looks like super high quality Wii footage.

16:43 -- The game is full 3D, wide screen. The gameplay has been redone so that it can be played without a touch pen.

Right as you asked. :lol
16:44 -- Next, he moves on to Inazuma Eleven 2.

16:42 -- He managed to get a tiny clip ready in time.

16:42 -- Next, he's introducing Inazuma Eleven Break!

wow, the live blog totally crapped out on my pc.

Happened to someone?
Several times. :\

I hope Level 5 recently added another 10,000 servers onto their network, because otherwise when they put up all the videos and stuff for all these games later today it's totally going to crap out. :lol

What does "super high quality Wii footage" even means? Is that the blogger wishing for the game to be on Wii and not the PS360?

could also mean super low quality PS360 footage :P

It means it looks better than a PS2 game. :P

If it's a next-gen game from Level 5, I don't think it'll be hard to tell at all. Clearly it doesn't look that good.

Ps360 for IZ ? In Japan ? Lol don`t kid yourself... i would be shocked if it would come on ps360 conceirning the audience of the anime/game

but then again, u never know...

Probably just means upscaled Wii quality graphics, likely for the purposes of the demo/trailer.

Probably means it's in the Mario Galaxy, deBlob..etc end of the spectrum graphically and not animal crossing.

Well if we all saw Disgaea 3 and didn't know what platform it was for we would've guessed Wii too, or maybe PS2 :lol

Inazuma Eleven is probably for the Wii, but it just sounded like the blogger was almost wishing for that to be the case.

megaton coming?

17:07 -- He says people are going to be shocked and has the first aid people ready with a stretcher!

17:07 -- And this comes to Revolution 4 -- "challenging a new type of game."

17:06 -- Three RPGs

17:06 -- 1st, Level 5's 10th anniversary projects

When are people going to learn that this event is about Level 5's self-published efforts?
Earlier in the event he mentioned they will talk about White Knight.

16:14 -- 1st, White Knight Story.

16:14 -- First, he's going to show two titles that were previously announced.

Man, I'm sure people are going to need the stretcher...... to carry Hino out after he gets beaten up by an angry and disappointed crowd. :lol

He mentioned it and DQIX in the beginning before he got to the "revolutions" because that's all we're going to hear about those games here.

Edit: Ni no Kuni!! The only L5 designed RPG I'm guaranteed to buy day 1 in the future! I want to see the trailer too... :(

Aren't you supposed to have a picture of a rolling duck

I hope for Hino's sake he has something up his sleeve for the end of the conference. Otherwise, it looks like his great conference has been spoiled completely by Famitsu. Maybe he should have held off the Famitsu coverage until next week. :P
