Lollipop Chainsaw Screenshots (Grasshopper, PS3/360)

The strength in Grasshopper INC games comes from the awesome narrative and personalities of the characters and villains. I wish they'd have showcased a bit of that along with the premise. But oh well, Blonde Californian Cheerleader isn't giving me too much of a positive vibe, but I can never doubt Suda51.

Uhm, no.
I'm saying my opinion on the game and what looks like.
There are screwball games which don't appeal to naked girls to be off-the-well.
Suda has developed Contact which is funny and crazy in some senses, and it's filled with videogames quote and nostalgia. No More Heroes is crazy as well, without too much nudity.
I prefer GM doing something else. Also because this Lollip Chainsaw is a plain clone (for what we know until now) of Onechanbara.

The people annoyed by this are probably the ones letting Call of Duty suffocate the entire industry.

Yes, gaming is now down to those who play call of duty, and those who get excited by a handful of screenshots of a teenage girls crotch.
 
I would never call Suda a hack, but, hm, he's like Michel Gondry, not the Coens: perpetual intrigue, occasional success. We'll see if this is worth him wallowing in his pet aesthetic AGAIN. I hope so.

Wasn't actually referring to you in my post. You take issue with the explotiative nature of women in video games which is another topic entirely. Given your stance, I don't think that you should be looking to Suda51 games to scratch your itch. Suggestive and provocative characters are clearly something he wants to do. He's not just doing it for sales.

I'm really interested in this mainly because of the Futurama head attached to her hip. Intriguing. I'm imaging its her boyfriend's head and she has to fight zombies to save him and reunite his head with his/some body.

Following this one intently.
 
Man, still playing Shadows of the Damned, got No More Heroes for PS3 preordered, and then I come upon this thread..... I will preorder this so hard it'll hurt!

Cant wait to see more on this. Grasshopper.... you're good people.

NMH's entire focus was Travis getting laid with tons of hyper-sexualized characters. Visually, there's not much different, content-wise, going on here. I still like killer7 more than any other Suda game, but they do a pretty good job mixing things up. I'm sure that they'll release something that appeals much more to that sensibility before long.

Did that DS version of silver case ever release?

I think Suda has done many games which didn't have a so strong appearance of the female figure, such as Contact, No More Heroes, The Silver Case, Michigan and Killer 7.
So I'd expect an off-the-wall game without a cheerleader against zombies.

There isn't any nudity in this either (at least not at this point). And NMH is extremely sexually suggestive.

There are mothafucking zombies, right? Lots of them. Everyone loves killing zombies. And what do they like killing them with? Fucking chainsaws man! Haha! Yes! And here's the kicker: the protagonist? Get this man: an 18-year old Californian high school cheerleader! So perfect, right? Yeah! Her chainsaw is PINK! Oh man this will be so crazy and out there and awesome. Maybe we could have her do funny cheerleader moves that show a little upskirt - like splits in the air, pom poms, all that shit. And we'll make it look like a comic book, cuz yeah. And when she kills these zombies we'll put flashy sparkles and hearts and shit all up on the screen.

Ugh.

As for me, it's not even that. It's just unoriginal, as others mentioned. If he did a takeoff of his Human Fire Pro Wrestling days and made an ultraviolent, ultrasexualized video game with a significant wrestling/backstage element, I'd preorder the special edition.

This is just treading water.

Ueda's still getting funding for/developing Space Agency. He said so a month ago on Twitter. So, yeah, it won't be a Grasshopper game and will get left overseas like his last one.
