Only one? you know how many countries have won a world cup right?Very few and we didn't win it before the world war or under a fascist regime.
US has two and we don't give a fuuuuuuuuck about soccer. Seems pretty easy, really.

The USA have won the FIFA World Cup? Twice?US has two and we don't give a fuuuuuuuuck about soccer. Seems pretty easy, really.
Yeah, I can't believe no one seems to be talking about this match. Poland was so close to an upset, wow. This Brazil-Poland quarterfinal in beach volleyball is the closest match I've seen all Olympics.
Wow. Really come down to the wire.

Time for the Dutch hockey women to crush Great Britain on their home court.
please don't beat us
lol
Are you talking about women's football right? Because USA men's team is shite and achieved nothing lol
btw World, yes, Europe does care about Olympic football, so don't think that we're all salty pricks like Kurto is being at the moment. Well done Japan!
P.s. lol at Guage, if there wasn't the anti-GB rule in the cycling it'd be a 1-2-3 for GB
in fact we're on track to win 8/10 golds available on the track, only Clancy + DQ for Pendleton have stopped us.
How are France doing? Oh? They have less than half the Gold's as GB? Interesting.
Europe doesn't give a shit about Olympic football, enjoy your shit medal.
We are obviously talking women's, seeing as we just watched a women's match.
Women don't count? I forgot how misogynist Europeans can be. tsk tsk
1991 and 1999.
Hasnt team GB already qualified into the last 4, as Japan beat China earlier?

It's easy to win a lot of medals when you're at home, really it's not a surprise.
What was France's excuse in 92?
France is one of the top ten nation right now FIFTH!

Probably. That doesn't mean we can't school you guys on how hockey is really played.
World Cup != Women's World Cup
In Barcelona 92? That's Spain, man LOL
The past year has been wonderful for Japanese football. I'm especially proud of the women seeing how they're treated as an afterthought back home.
Hopefully the men can make it to the finals as well. Mexico's tough but seeing how Korea played them to a draw, I do expect Japan to put up a good fight.
It's a tall order but I'd love to see Japan clinch gold in both divisions.
Maybe, but if we played hockey on bikes, then it would be a different matter!
Oo BMX starts tomorrow I see, that was great to watch at Beijing

Since we are arguing semantics, I am a little confused here. Are we talking the Rugby World Cup or the FIFA World Cup?
You need to be more specific man.
Is Winter like women in Europe? Second class and not worth your notice?
THERE'S BMX IN OLYMPICS? OMG HOW'D I MISS THIS?Oo BMX starts tomorrow I see, that was great to watch at Beijing

Let's call things by their names![]()
France was in the top ten in 1992, GB is nowhere to be seen with 5 medals and to prove my point, Spain which hosted the game finished sixth (Spain has zero golds right now, shows how poorly they do in the Olympics!)

We got more than double the golds France got at Beijing too.
Why do footballers do better at home? It's an advantage don't deny it.So Beijing was a fluke? 19 golds in Beijing and 47 medals in total. Yes it's all because we're at home, not because we learned from the mistakes of 1996 and introduced lottery funding which has completely transformed our elite sports setup. No, it's all because we're at home.
