Longest credits sequence at the end of a game?

I never understood why PR, HR/administrative support, legal, shit even finance teams have to be credited in games. It seems to go way further away from the creative team than movies do, for example.

Yeah, I agree. No offence intended, but I couldn't care less about the Taiwanese localisation team or the Parisien legal team. I just want to see the developers, other key things like composer or actors and any middleware used and that's about it. I don't need to see half of the total employees from Ubisoft included because one time they sent an email to the producer.

Credits - naming the people who, you know, deserve credit.

What you want to see is completely irrelevant, it's about giving the people who worked on a game recognition, no matter what their function is within the organization. If it's 50 people, it's 50. With Ubi games it's often closer to 1000 divided into several studios across the world, so obviously the credits are longer.

It's Mighty No. 9, period.

Literally 4 fucking hours long.

I'm posting it again:

They could have saved an hour just by having a smaller font...and another 2 hours and 55 minutes by having a 'thanks to our 69000 generous backers who didn't want to be named'

They way it's done now makes it hard for backers that left their name to be found....but that may be a good thing seeing how the game turned out.

I honestly thought the Ratchet & Clank games (PS2) were pretty long, until I notice they loop back to the start and you just need to press a button to move on IIRC.

Lefo Jurassic World has some pretty long credit scenes when you finish a movie. Goes on forever but good way of farming for studs.
