You have to hold the button for the outside circle to come up, then release the button when the circle overlaps with the one in the centre. Took me a while to figure out too.Not a Jellyfish said:so how does the whole circle thing that comes up while attcking work? watching the second vid on blims site it looks hard or the player doesn't understand it yet.

Uh, basically only the Infinity Engine does this.duckroll said:Honestly, that's a horrible idea. An actual implementation of anything close to D&D's rules in a completely turn based game would be the slowest and most boring thing ever. This is why all CRPGs that use D&D rules choose to make it pseudo-realtime so most of the turns are invisible.
Don't be so closed mindedSynless said:This game has some weird split-screen 60's style views going on. I really do hate the way the soldiers look, those big ass hat's they wear are ridiculous.

Awesome, I loved the SH games (SH3 was kinda underwhelming though...), gives me more confidence that I'll enjoy this game.duckroll said:Wow, I went through the credits in a little more detail, and basically, the SH team is mostly accounted for in LO. Forget all the talk about how Feel Plus was ex-S-E staff, or ex-LoD staff or ex-Scacrab staff. There are like 30-40 Shadow Hearts team staff on LO. They account for the majority of any job scope in the game:
- The art director
- The majority of the programmers + lead programmer
- The majority of the background artists + lead environmental designer
- The majority of the CG designer/animators + lead CG designer and lead animator
- The audio lead, and the 2 non-outsourced sound artists
- The battle planner
- The visual production manager
- Half the cut-scene visual artists

its such a shame all those great ideas will likely disappear from our RPGs going forward. main, FF12 was so good.

McDragon said:Was Sakaguchi a SH fan or something?
in any case, i loved SH, so this is a good thing!
duckroll said:Well, what probably happened was Sakaguchi got Ohsawa as the art director, and at the same time they were trying to get LO production out of MS studios and form a private developer. So Ohsawa probably went "Dude, because Shadow Hearts is BOMBA, my guys are going to be out of a job soon...." and then Sakaguchi decided to just integrate them into FeelPlus, since they have RPG development experience! Maybe!
Jesus Roger Bacon Christ. I was quite interested in LO, but the more duckroll speaks of the involvement of the SH team, the more it's turning to be the main reason for me to finally get a 360.duckroll said:Wow, I went through the credits in a little more detail, and basically, the SH team is mostly accounted for in LO. FFChris said:- Voice acting is great
- Graphics look fantastic
- Load times are a little long, but they aren't too bad
- Knights armour designs are stupid, as are the cars...how do those things not topple over?
- Enemies look a bit too easy
Yea, my thoughts pretty much echo everyone elses. I wish we could have seen the menus.
Does anyone know what the bar at the top right indicates?
I remember seeing several battles in a big forest on Gametrailers before. Probably posted by a visitor. I do hate some of his lack of interaction with a lot of the environment though like running into invisible walls or boxes and still running. He does block heavy winds(TGS) and pick up objects.nelsonroyale said:Im not sure if we will see any lush sorroundings, none of the scenarios so far have been at least...the animation hasnt really improved over previous gen games though, especially the way he runs, it doesnt seem like it gels with the environment....
overall the game looks far more interesting than BD...
You haven't seen the E3 gameplay (?) where she grabs her old ass son and says "This is my boy!!" and rubs his head?McDragon said:I expected Seth to be more mature...hmm....
