I recently picked this up for the Vita as a PS+ promotion and wow, know I now why this game has been getting tons of love in this board, great soundtrack--can't go wrong with remixed Sega classics--the original stuff is great as well. The driving is fun, but also challenging. I also like the Mario Kart series, but those games can be very easy and also kill you with the unlocking. This has the harder difficulties open from the beginning.
Additionally, there is ton of content. Just blown away by the amount of content they've added for Single Player modes. I can tell I'll be busy for a while.
Moreover, the game is just polished to heck, from the menus, to the intricate tracks. Props to Sumo Digital.
Although I'm playing the Vita version for now, I think I'll pick up a console version, because this game demands the big screen.
My only gripe is lack of 60FPS, which is my preference for racing games, but it's definitely not a deal breaker.
