duckroll said:Incorrect. It was totally underappreciated because of a fucked up release format. The end.

Cool, I'd consider this, but I do already have Lumines I and II on the PSP.

For Lumines? A game that doesn't require any diagonal movement? Simply not true.soldat7 said:360 analog stick beats my PSP fat d-pad. Fact.

I cannot even imagine playing Lumines or any Tetris-like game on any analog stick, but if that rocks your boat, that's great. The only way I can see analog being better is if PSPs Dpad was not registering presses half the time or something. Also, yes slim has much improved dpad, but it's all just in terms of how diagonals work which is not affecting a game like Lumines.soldat7 said:Play these games like a religion for a year and you'll come to the same conclusion. Maybe the d-pad on the slim is better but 360 analog beats fat d-pad any day of the week (except Tuesdays).

shidoshi said:(Really, though, Lumines just feels better to me on the small screen of the PSP, so maybe I shouldn't even bother.)
AstroLad said:I much prefer it on HD w/ 5.1. It's obviously not a graphical powerhouse, but it's quite a flashy game both visually and aurally. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to put in a good round. It's just a very nice relax-on-the-couch game.
shidoshi said:I can definitely see the appeal, but for some reason, the game just clicked with me far more on the PSP than it did when trying it on the 360 (control issues not withstanding).
shidoshi said:Ugh, no way. I have an original PSP, and Lumines I & II both played great on that d-pad. Then I picked up the 360 version, play it for like a half an hour, and then never touched it again. D-pad is junk, but the analog stick was nowhere near good enough for playing that game. It's fine for games with a lot of held movements, but anything requiring a lot of very quick taps in any direction it feels too mushy.
So, glad to hear it's coming to PSN - if there's a demo I'll give it a chance and decide if I want to waste more money on the game. (Really, though, Lumines just feels better to me on the small screen of the PSP, so maybe I shouldn't even bother.)
