Memles review was spot on. Symbolism everywhere in this bitch.

There are no words. I think I might even like this episode more than Shut the Door, Have a Seat.

And yet I'm still such a BAMF. :loli_am_ben said:lol you have no balls.
Yes. It was bordering on too obvious, IMO.Vyer said:Sepinwall's comments reminded me of something. So what does 'There's another way out of this room" (paraphrasing) mean? Is Don referencing what I think he is?
Project Rungay's article is now up: http://tomandlorenzo2.blogspot.com/2010/09/mad-men-s4e7-suitcase.htmlIgnatz Mouse said:Alan Sepinwall: http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/whats-alan-watching/posts/mad-men-the-suitcase-get-her-to-the-greek

And they don't have an article up yet, but I recommend Project Rungay for good reviews as well as their excellent Mad Style series. http://tomandlorenzo2.blogspot.com/2010/09/mad-style-waldorf-stories.html

Wow.BenjaminBirdie said:Oh, shit, also, after the Rolling Stone article it's very clear that so much of this episode (maybe the whole season arc between Don and Peggy) is coming from Weiner's relationships with his writing staff. It's pretty fascinating to watch them work it out amongst themselves for our dramatic benefit.

I love this show so much.
Amir0x said:Jon Hamm must get the emmy for this episode alongside Elisabeth Moss.
I just watched this episode again and the power of his performance is absolutely fucking insane. When he's describing Sonny Liston's fighting style, cigarette in mouth, drowsy drunkenness weighing his words, fists jabbing the air in imitation... there was so much going on he had to pull off emotionally too, the way he was trying to avoid for the entire night making that call.
I mean, christ, the Oscars should give him the Academy Award for best actor just fucking because.

The quality is kind of shit right now but I can fix it later on.
Fog's rollin' in off the East River bank
Like a shroud it covers Bleecker Street
Fills the alleys where men sleep
Hides the shepherd from the sheep
Voices leaking from a sad cafe
Smiling faces try to understand
I saw a shadow touch a shadow's hand
On Bleecker Street
A poet reads his crooked rhyme
Holy, holy is his sacrament
Thirty dollars pays your rent
On Bleecker Street
I heard a church bell softly chime
In a melody sustainin'
It's a long road to Canaan
On Bleecker Street
Bleecker Street
