Thank you so much! Finally I will never have to read the word pussyburglar ever again.
No more "lol" and "LOL"?
Can it replace any set of characters over a certain length with "tl;dr"?
Is there a way to make the replacement conditional based on additional text within the body of the message? For instance, while I would normally not mind seeing the words "Retina Display" or "retina," I find it bothersome when either term is used to discuss the screen of the new iPad. In those cases I'd like to replace "retina" with "somewhat high resolution," if possible.
I have no experience with coding, so I don't know if this is doable or not as a Chrome extension.
Regexes work as well!!
Browsed through the github repo. Why so much code for such a simple extension? Is it a byproduct of something else you were working on?
I primarily use Safari, and i'd love if this could be ported over without too much difficulty. The more I browse the internet with this extension in mind (and on chrome) the more I find it actually useful.
Characters in what? A word? Sentence? Paragraph?
I'm just trying to change my brother's name, so when he logs into Facebook it's different, but it's not working.
My primary use for this will be installing this on a co-worker's machine to fuck with his mind.
:lol :lol This had me in tears. This will be fun:
Now to install it in as many chromes as I can.
Sounds good! And replacing lol with :lol for one, so all lulz become laughing smileys (via that other extension). Had a bunch more uses such as name changing and making certain things CAPS, etc.Awesome! What sort of uses were you thinking of?
(Also, a Safari port wouldn't be tremendously difficult. I'll add it to the list)
