Yep most probably they didn't have anyone to answer those questions at the time. Or a scheduling conflict. Sony has been very open about the hardware since February. I don't think MS on the other hand has even released a spec sheet

The way he talked about the shared games library reminds me of the source code repositories I work with every day at work.

But I only need an internet connection to reach the repository, or to check something out or in. Once I've checked something out I can freely go offline for as long as I need to, and this works regardless of whether I've exclusively checked content out or not.

No 24 hour phone home required, even with only a single person having access to a piece of content at a time.

How many inputs does the XBone actually have? I thought it was one, so... wouldn't plugging in a 360, PS3, PS4, or even Wiiu into it, defeat the purpose of its tv functionality?

Could always get one of those HDMI port switch so you could have 3 HDMI devices going into one port. Plus maybe some people just arn't interested in the TV stuff.

I do wonder if it would introduce noticeable lag into games but if it didn't it would be a pretty cool way of staying on live while playing on your other consoles.

Yes. They first wanted to pre-screen questions which we agreed to; then declined us an interview after reviewing the questions...we were shocked to say the least. In regards to what kinds of "hardware" questions skydart had them on her list. But MS opened their doors and gave us an exclusive interview with Major Nelson upstairs... they treated us like any other major news outlet. They got big points for that in my book.. I'm probably still buying a PS4 though (PC is still where its at though.)

My best guess to this was A. there wasn't a person who could answer these questions thoroughly enough or "that person" was too busy for "our" interview... or B. They've got plenty of good PR on reddit without having to actually address anyone's concerns regarding their console...

Completely reasonable to ban people from multiplayer if they do something bad enough to get banned.

have a feeling there's more to this then we're being told, for one what don't we know about the hardware? Sony has been very open about what's inside the PS4 and Reddit mods have spread BS in the past IIRC

Street dates are meant to be kept. I see no problem with that. They don't know you legally bought it. If I made a game and I saw someone playing it before it's released, I'd be suspicious too.
