I always get annoyed by people saying "this was definitely made on drugs". People can be creative as hell on their own. I didn't bat an eye when the Katamari Damacy guy said he doesn't do drugs or even drink. It's something in the realm of reasonable human thought.

THIS on the other hand is NOT something I can see anyone creating unless he/she is on some kind of hard drug or is beyond batshit insane. It's amazing.

You see how in Bakuman every 3-4 chapters they declare a character "a legendary genius that only appears once every 10 years"? Shintaro Kago is that legendary genius.

One Piece was solid, though I echo many others in saying that this is just a stomping show for the crew.

Bleach had a really nice chapter this week, tonnes of good exposition, some set up and a nice cliffhanger end. Looking forward to next week.

Naruto was weak this week, as it has been for a while, Chouji normally has great fights so I don't doubt this one will be any different. He's been my favourite character since he was introduced so I'm right looking forward to that.

My guess is that Hodi will get pretty easily beaten up by Zoro, proceed to eat a dozen of pills and become an actual threat.

Water+drugged Fishman=enough of an excuse for Zoro to lose or at the very least stalemate.

Hodi is dangerous because of the lengths he will go to uphold his ideals, that might be what Jimbei wanted to warn Luffy of.

So far, so good.

I don't even know who that is, but will be interesting to see how Kubo will blot out the page with a "full bring" instead of a bankai.

Well, I'm glad there's been no delay to getting to this fight, though I'm not sure how much I like Enma being pretty much not conscious of the entire thing. Lame.

Other than that, solid chapter. Hyper Mode Tsuna looking like a boss as always, and the Black Holes (poor man's Blackbeard) was a little much, but still fine. What I'm wondering is what exactly is happening with Mukuro and Damon though, since we didn't get any of that in this chapter.

Also, what exactly is Tsuna planning to do is another thing I'm wondering. If beating the shit out of Enma will solve all of the problems, well, I'll be looking forward to him getting his ass beat.

Catching up on some manga:

Bambino 50-95: This is so good. It's quite nice to have a food based manga to freshen up the mix. I really do like how Ban is shaping up and that each new arc is just him tackling on another department in the restaurant. They're making dolce now : O

Yankee and Megane: Every time I come back to this after letting the chapters pile up, it's always such a good fun read. Definitely one of the best shounen series I'm reading. Shinagawa is such a enjoyable lead. Can't wait to see how this new culture fest pans out.

I started reading Naruto in elementary school, translating the imported copies of shonen jump with a kanji dictionary and too much free time. After over a decade of readership, I no longer give Kishimoto the benefit of the doubt. It reads like it was written by someone burned out on making manga. At this point, I can't tell what direction he's going any more, other than out. The 15 minutes a day I have between class and work(7am-10:30pm) are better spent elsewhere.
