I almost thought we were getting a flashback at the end of the chapter. Forgot this isn't One Piece.

Going past my complaints about Mashima not knowing how to build up villains properly in Fairy Tail, I'm hoping that we will at least see the Ultear get away with Zeref vs her getting beaten by Gray.

Alright, I figured this would be the best place to post this. I watched the Nana to Kaoru Moive just now and wanted to tell some people. I thought it was surprisingly decent. Kaoru really came off as Creepymura in this. His facial expressions and general reactions to anything Nana did were so overexaggerated I couldn't help but want to facepalm the first few times. They were really playing up the pervert aspect of his character, which I thought really unnecessary because he doesn't come off that strongly in the manga.

Kaoru wasn't the only one though. Nana's acting was bad, too, especially whenever she was trying to be sexy. I was expecting as much from this type of movie, so it's not a major letdown, but it feels like they could have tried a little harder with Nana's acting, at the very least. There was something else negative, but I can't remember.

On the positive, they seemed to follow the manga pretty well. It's been awhile since I've read the start, but there was nothing so blatantly wrong that it felt bad. I think this was really the most important thing to me. I wasn't expecting sexy or hilarious, and it certainly wasn't either of those, but it was fun seeing the manga adapted. I managed to make it through without checking the time or wishing it was over, so I'll call it a success.

I think ending PCP because it doesn't get an anime kind of sends the wrong message. It's essentially tantamount to selling out.

What? They've been sell-outs from the start. They want a popular manga that will eventually be turned into an anime. That's always been their goal and they've always be actively aiming for it. Well, always until this PCP stall.

I think sitting around not giving a crap is more of a bad message, and, more importantly, more of a dull manga.

I don't think it's really been bad with characters that should be weaker winning anything, he just made multiple characters return and instantly kick the crap out of these strong enemies. Probably would have been more palatable if they had full fights. The fights look like they are still going on, but just barely and the new arrivals seem to be handily beating them down. Mashima must have something up his sleeve, no idea how that kid looking out to shore factors into things. I'm guessing he has one of the 3 legendary Fairy Tail powers.

Unpopular opinion here...but I thought it was a good action heavy chapter. It was nice seeing powerful fairytail mages unleash power moves against fan favorite Rustyrose. The chapter even had one of my favorite aspects of Mashima's drawings, those faces.

That seems presumptuous. We saw him for one panel, and unless he figured out Super Saiyan mode while he was gone, he wasn't supposed to be more powerful than Gildarts and he lost to Natsu/Gajeel.

Makarov isn't going to die and he certainly wouldn't make Laxus the Guild Master after expelling him from the guild entirely. I think he'd at least consider Gildarts before Laxus.

You're sure that successor specifically meant guild leadership rather than lineage? Makarov did considered Mystgun, Erza, and Gildartz as well. Erza was too young and Gildartz wasn't around a lot as far as I recall.

Yah I've been wondering since Volume 14 came out in March. Since Halibut Scans only does Tank scans and Chapter 59 was ended Vol 13 watch out for Chapter 60 to be released. When it comes out I'll be sure to mention it in the thread
