Huge ratings bombing. Down to 83.27%. Literally dropped almost 0.40% overnight by only 1k additional reviews. Yesterday was 49k, now 50k.

Will do final recap in an hour when it settles. But looks like it'll be about flat vs yesterday's 12.1k. It was actually up fine all day, but USA tanked. At 4 pm est Euro hour it was up 10%.

If it's true they rejected an expansion themed around Xivu Arath and doubled down on their Star Wars garbage, I'm even madder at Bungie leadership. Taken King and Witch Queen are two of the most beloved expansions in the Destiny franchise and Xivu Arath would have completed the trilogy of the Hive siblings and their fates. Not to mention Crown of Sorrow was the only new Hive themed raid in Destiny 2 and it got fucking vaulted a year after it came out. King's Fall and Crota's End are the only others and they were from Destiny 1 and over 10 years old. Absolutely moronic behaviour from Bungie as usual.

I think D2 is going to smash the fuck out of Marathon. I can even see the game obliterating Marathon's 88k CCU peak in June, fuck it, I can see it doubling Marathon's peak.

People are going to come back to D2 to enjoy a final moment, even if the game isn't what it was. It was still the place that millions of people enjoyed. Marathon doesn't have that.

Sony should just have all of bungie and a small group from naughty dog wrap up factions 2. Then have naughty dog wash their hands of it whilst bungie support the game.

It was apparently great and close to finished, and it was bungie who told them to stop, as supporting a GaaS such as that would mean naughty dog would have to stop making single player games. It would be fitting.

It would also give bungie a purpose given their own games are basically dead men walking, if they start something new it'll be more than half a decade before it sees the light of day, and even then it may have no interest, tons of people were excited about factions. It seems an easy decision.
