Also funny how everyone on NXT 2 is in FCW, off tv or left because of shitty management. What a season, turns out WWE that the guys you wanted to win were terrible and the fans were right all along. Hayes and DUnn gotta realize that when you shit it always floats back to the top.
I think the whole issue of didnt make them in their development schools thing is still very much a factor.

Del Rio had actually asked to be released because he was tired of being in FCW. He was about to say fuck it and return to Mexico. Next thing you know hes on TV and being pushed to the top. The thing is there are only a few guys who can make such a wave and get action.

Did he grow quite a few inches taller? And if it's that serious, they can still have catch-all fights.

But the product right now doesn't make sense. But then again, it's competition makes less sense.

I just think a lanky/small wrestler or whatever is going to prefer to go to MMA than WWE because the WWE has a hard-on for Mason Ryan, Batista and John Cena builds.
Erm...someone missed the joke.

But I agree, WWE really needs to bring that division back. There is a strong selection of lightweight guys that are either jobbed out weekly (Bourne, Yoshi, Primo) or overcome the odds due to the unnatural size of their hearts (Super Rey). I still say in wake of Eddie's death, they really need to examine Rey. They keep talking about how big his heart is, that's a dangerous condition.

Where can I read this? I wanna see it for the lullz.

It's in his book. Basically the story he tells is Dwayne completely freaked out at the crowd reaction and had no idea what to do. Hulk, being the strong hand and veteran leader he is, told him "don't worry kid, just follow my lead" and called the whole match on the fly, carrying Dwayne to one of his most memorable matches of his career.

I love Hulk. He also claimed he fought in PRIDE in the 70s.

I just finished watching the first disc of Chris Jericho's dvd and I was wondering something. Was it really Mick Foley who introduced him to Paul Heymen or was it really Chris Beniot? I read somewhere online that it was really Chris Beniot and not Mick Foley.

Currently watching the ROH 9th Anniversary show from last Saturday, and Eddie Edwards dropping the tiger suplex pin bridge because Chris Daniels had been working on his neck area is some damn good in match storytelling. Just a small thing in the big picture, but that was great.

Such a good feeling to get a PPV with a solid 3 hours of wall to wall wrestling.

EDIT: What a fantastic match. Was Daniels LEGIT knocked out towards the end?

That spot was amazing, really shows how much Edwards has grown as a wrestler in the past year or so.

Yeah, seems that way - I honestly thought they were setting up to do a '5 more minutes' thing to end the match and have Edwards get the 2nd pinfall right before the end, but as Chris was actually knocked loopy they couldn't do that. Although that super reverse huricanrana busted Daniels' head open, it was Edwards throwing him to the guardrail on the outside that knocked him out - according to ROH he's perfectly OK, but was seriously out of it for a while after that match.

I thought it was a work as well, but thinking about it now, you can't sell how "out of it" Daniels looked rolling around the mat. Surprising that it was the guardrail spot that did it as it looked tame in comparison to the super huricanrana.

Pretty good show, Ishimori & Suzuki vs Nakajima & Kajiwara is a good, fast paced tag match, while Marvin vs Marufuji is a great light heavyweight match that's let down a little bit by the flat finish. The Disobey vs K-Office tag sees KENTA's debut as a heel, while the main event 6-man offers some good matchups and the Sano & Inoue vs Shiozaki & Taniguchi is an awesome heavyweight tag match. Bernard vs Sugiura for the title should be fantastic, can't wait to see that.

And here's some random matches;

Kenta Kobashi, KENTA & Ricky Marvin vs Mitsuharu Misawa, Takashi Sugiura & Yoshinobu Kanemaru - (NOAH 04/03/05)

Awesome 6-man tag that sees Kobashi & Misawa team with their respective trainees.

Mitsuharu Misawa vs Yoshihiro Takayama - (AJPW 09/04/99)

As AJPW was falling apart, Yoshihiro Takayama was just coming into his own and this match with Misawa was the breakout match that cemented him as a main event level wrestler;

Ted DiBiase vs Genichiro Tenryu - (AJPW 04/26/88)

Pretty good match here, despite a few communication problems with the finish;

Both guys are high on the BS meter. I give it to Hulk because in person he is an actual nice guy.

Rock isn't? I've always heard he's an incredibly nice guy and I've never heard any other wrestlers say anything bad about him.

My brother in law talked to him at the gym and he's apparently a very nice guy. He talks to everyday people all the time.

Someone mentioned it in last month's thread and I had to make it

I always find it weird when people say wrestlers are good/bad guys based on someone's sole meeting with them. I am sure a huge portion of them are decent, but everyone has an off day, and no matter who they are they could seem a bit dickish to a random guy they meet just cause they have other things on their mind.

That's true. People could just put on faces to butter up the fans, as well. Also, in all honesty, I would rather people say, "X is a nice guy, I met him a few times" over "X is a nice guy, he seems nice from what I've seen on the internet/videos/actual wrestling programming."

Sure but going there can often be consistency in which guys are nice and which guys are dicks. Even saying they are a dick is probably the wrong term. Just less tolerant of having to deal with being approached by people they don't know.

He isn't bad, just isn't as personable with fans. I've met many of then over the years. Hulk is among the best. Both guys are mostly well liked by other wrestlers.

The Rock just has the ultimate game show host personality which turns some off.

Dwayne Johnson on twitter wrote that he's shooting tomorrow and won't be at Raw in Dallas, but made a mention of Steve Austin being on the show. So if that's the case, John Cena will have promo time all to himself.

Remember when Dwayne lied to us and told us he was never leaving again?

You would think that you guys have seen enough wrestling by now to know what "never going away" means.

Shad Gaspard arrested over the weekend..............for crossing the street.

Former WWE star Shad Gaspard was apparently arrested over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio for what his wife calls "crossing the street."

Shad's wife wrote the following on Twitter last night:

"This is Shad's wife everyone. I want to address the rumors that are going on around the Internet right now about Shad's arrest. He was indeed arrested today, in Columbus. No use denying it. But Shad did nothing wrong, he was trying to attend the Arnold Classic, and can you guys believe that the Columbus police department has nothing better to do than arrest him for crossing the street????!! That's what they got him for "pedestrian in roadway" I think we should all stand up and be heard! Too many cops abusing their authority!! Apparently they even decided that it was necessary to tackle him.... I am very disappointed in those who "serve and protect" right now."

She then went on to note that Shad's bail had been posted and they have hired a lawyer. She also said that footage of the incident was available and that it was being released to TMZ and other media outlets.

I would not be surprised if this turns out to be true. It's sad this thing happens in this day and age.
I guess it wasn't HIS TIME

No brah they knew his reputation from his Cryme Tyme days, like when he stole sports entertainer's wallets. Kinda like how law enforcement was tipped of about hardy still harboring drugs because of his feud with CM Punk.
