[Mario Golf: World Tour] GAF Tour

I signed up but I have to drop out. I just don't have the time. Going to Disney World next week and I know I won't be able to do anything.

If we start a new there should probably be somethings changed like:

1 course per weekend like the PGA, LPGA, etc.
3 days only(Friday thru Sunday)
Point System(1st-10th get points MK style(15,12,10,7,6,5,4,3,2,1))
Go through all the courses in the game(minus DLC unless people want it to count)
Award some champions at the end: Overall, 9-hole, 18-hole, Mario courses, DLC, etc.
End the season with a skills tournament or something using only the champions and individual course winners to determine a league champion or just for fun

Just pitching idea out there.
 
Maybe I misunderstood this in the OP but if we are junior members our score doesn't count until our account is approved? Not sure what the ratio of members vs juniors is but that seems like an awful lot of people that will not get scores counted until god knows when.
 
It doesn't seem to say anything about Junior members. If you are a junior member then your account is already approved.

I might pick up the game soon. I'll need some practice but these tournaments seem like it can be fun.

That part's referring to lurkers who are waiting for their account to be approved so they can post.
 
Hey PreyingShark, Can you add the start date to end date above the codes for the courses? Thanks to a couple of all-nighters and a bachelor party I have lost all sense of past days, future days, and time in general. I know, I'm a terrible person. I'm also moving into a new house over the next two weeks, so hopefully I get some time to actually play the damn matches.

Gentlemen's Club represent! One try per level. I'm sure I won't even get par.
 
Holy Crap. I took a shot at Sky Island and Wiggler Park last night. I apparently don't understand wind at all. Those scores aren't going to win me anything. :(

For me this is literally the first time I've played any of these courses except the first one in sp, so two tries for me. :) I've put at least 100 hours into HSG: World Tour on PS3, I was struggling at first with this game, but I think I got it now.

I apologize for my horrible procrastination.

EDIT:
Major update: You can now see how many points you have right now.

Red = You are currently at or above the all birdie mark. You're on track to cut, in other words.
Blue = GJ you're a freak and have made above the AP each time.
Orange = You have confirmed yourself to only be trying once each time.
Yellow = One missing score
Pink = Two or more missing scores
Green = Four or more missing scores (won't be possible for a couple days) and if you have no scores the following two tourneys then I'll consider dropping you so I don't waste my time looking for your scores.

If you have yellow or pink and I genuinely missed you then please notify me about this ASAP.

The next two tourneys end soon so please get on that. Speaking of which, I'll get on that after dinner. For real now.
 
The hold-up is that I'm currently too lazy to write down the scores so I have the space to make 2 more tourneys.

If somebody could make Yoshi Lake and Mountain Course tourneys with the past rules - Tournament Tees, strong winds, Mario banned, 1 week or so - for me then that would be great. Otherwise I'll get off my lazy ass and do it tomorrow, once I make sure that this very important piece of mail is on its way.

Is the AP for both courses -11/-22?

EDIT: Because I just got those scores lol. I could have gotten a -12 on Yoshi Lake because I actually got an albatross on hole 1, but I messed up on a putt on hole 7. Still, AP is good enough for me.

Curse you Jascii for stealing my spot for #1 on Yoshi Lake.

I think maybe the time frame on this was too long. Interest has dwindled, should have struck while the iron was hot.

But I'm still goin! Only doing one or two attempts at each, no point in climbing the leader board.

My projections are being met. The final four tourneys before the Top Cut will probably be hammered out quickly, though. We should've been on the final group of two by now. It's 100% my fault we're so far behind. ><;

Don't blame yourself. Nobody could resist MK8 and E3. I'll be taking my shot at the new tournaments tonight.
 
I'll work on totaling up the points soon. Really behind on that. Expect the next round of tourneys in a few hours, after dinner. I'm working on getting my act together.
 
I was hoping for DLC courses, honestly. There's no real incentive to play the newer ones since they likely won't be featured in any of the official tournaments.

How will the community matches work btw?

You know, just jumping to the DLC courses is an excellent option I hadn't considered. I mean, if you think about it, of the courses left the only truly interesting one is Bowser Castle. The good players have probably played Seaside and Forest to death, and Cheep Cheep Lagoon isn't a very popular course.

For people who don't have the DLC I could probably just use the pre-DLC standings to determine if they cut and then remind that they cut via PM when we're done with DLC courses.

Community matches will groups of 4. You can sort out the time in this thread I suppose. Originally I was going to make a google doc for each group though.

3 rounds of stroke, you guys vote on the courses, no Sky Island because screw that course. If you all have the DLC courses you can do those, too. After the 3 rounds you guys added up your scores from each round. Top 2 in each group move on until we get to 4 or less players, which is winner-takes-all.

When are the next tourneys going up? I'm leaving for a week long trip this weekend, need to at least get the codes entered.

We're dwindling in numbers here, as of last night I was the only one to play Layer Cake. Played each course twice and got some decent numbers, won't be trying to much harder.

I guess after these then we really should just move on to the bracket to finish things up. I can do DLC tourneys in the main thread after all.

I'll start totaling up the points soon then, for real this time.
 
Just wanted to say thank you for putting the tourneys up! Have just been busy with the World Cup madness, but still enjoying these! Totally down with doing the bracket play next too if that's what people would like. It's true that we can always just have normal tourneys for the DLC courses. :)
