I heard this and had to skip backwards to check if it was what I thought it was.
Sure enough, a bombastic version of the SMB flagpole melody plays while the fireworks are launched at the end of the ceremony. A real treat.

So while the whole intro video was amazing, the rest of the presentation was really a spectacle to behold. The arrangement of the Japanese national anthem was chilling, the lights and dancing following Abe's arrival was brilliant and full of imagery. The music was really something else... I was blown away last night when I saw it and I'm still sort of amazed at the whole thing watching it again.
Way to one-up the host city, Japan.
They're good, but I'd rather see X Japan there, now that they're basically reunited.

I have heard that Yokai Watch is doing well with the anime everywhere. And I don't know what Precure is.
Shin Chan, in Europe, if I'm not wrong, is popular only in Spain. I have never seen any reference to that anime in other European countries. I think they tried to make it popular in USA, but there was a horrible dubbed series by 4kids, and an adult version by Funimation that was based on the 4kids version, with just a few episodes dubbed by each.

Really happy with Tokyo push and support for Paralympics here.^_^ I always feel the player is always underrated even when they are able to perform so great even with their disabilities.
Great artist there also. A bit sad that there is no Takehiko Inoue drawing some of the art there when he had a great work on a manga also about wheel chair basket ball called REAL.
At least, i can see Urasawa Naoki and Chiba Tetsuya drawing again lol. I had been missing Tetsuya here for so long after Ashita no Joe.T_T

Ah, thanks. I saw the two main characters over ten years ago and they were different...but apparently there are several different series (or just a giant universe). Didn't know that.
So they have two spaces for kids/family, two for girls and four for boys. Doesn't seem fair. They should scrap Naruto, so it's always the defining manga of a generation: Mighty Atom --> Dragon Ball --> One Piece.
Would be cool at least.

God there's totally gonna be some holographic battle in the middle of the opening ceremony between a bunch of Shonen Jump characters where they all give hype up speeches about fighting for your friends or some shit.
