I've read that this does not take place in the MCU. Is it true ?

Interesting. So what about Cap's cameo in Thor Dark World? Surely they worked something out, because it'd be hilarious if that cameo counted as an official appearance. Or is there a loophole there since it wasn't really Cap, but Loki as Cap?
But but but the logo is the classic one and it's faithful to the source material. This looks entertaining. My only criticism is the logo looking bad, and more importantly, the costume looks like a last minute Halloween ditch. Really bad.
I like the main actor.
I wouldn't call that a breakdown. It's rather some quick remarks of a few scenes. Thanks for the link btw.
This TV series cost about $50 mill to make (compared to $80 or so for Affleck) and despite having a much lower budget it seems to blown it away ( from just the trailers).*
*I didn't think the Affleck movie was that bad.*
Looks like Marvel's take on the "super serious Nolan Batman". Should be interesting.
I hope they go with something similar to the McDaniel armored design.

I always liked that suit.
Who is the guy telling them they got their asses kicked? Obviously not Kingpin or the Owl-is he a name character?
I like Punisher Max version of Kingpin but I like the direction they are going with this Kingpin. Its old school mafia style. Evil dude but still has that side of him that wants his home neighborhood to be improved and people there to have a better life etc.
Another Man's evil does not make you good. Perfect
Thor. This reminds me of Firat Class in that this series will have a super villain origin story and story alongside the hero's. At risk of asking a stupid question what comic book movies or films tackled the villain's origin story.?
So how are they going to work around the fact that Hell's kitchen is like super gentrified and safe in modern NY?

I like the trailer, but it just doesn't *scream* that it's *in* the MCU.
Exactly. That's why I'm so hyped for thisThats the best part
It got blown to shreds during the Chitauri invasion.
I like the trailer, but it just doesn't *scream* that it's *in* the MCU.
IDK, hopefully that'll change when I watch it
Uh, how many decades after the invasion, then? In the trailer Murdock is clearly talking about how he dreamed of leaving the city as a child. If the Chitauri invasion was the catalyst for the evil in the city, wouldn't this be many years after the invasion?
...
Isn't that Fisk narrating at the beginning? Pretty sure it's Fisk narrating at the beginning. He could have been a kid during the 70s/80s before the gentrification.
Plus, in-universe, hasn't it been... four years since Hell's Kitchen would have been destroyed?
Also, it's a different universe, maybe Hell's Kitchen never quite gentrified as much as in reality.

I'm just glad this is in the MCU. Not linking Arrow and Flash to the DCCU was a big disappointment for me.
this shit is tv and movies you really think they are sitting there thinking about the continuity of it? holy shit. i dont think they sit there talking about having kingpin having depression from those monsters crashing into his crate of drugs when it fell out of the sky. HOW DOES SUPERMAN FLY SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT TO ME
how hey come the rest of the avengers help out cap. cmon
I have a feeling the Netflix series will be super interconnected with Cage and Jones making appearances in DD.It shouldn't *scream* it.
It's a separate hero with his own problems. And one of the great things it does is expand what the MCU is.
I like the trailer, but it just doesn't *scream* that it's *in* the MCU.

I personally think the CWUniverse is better off for it. I don't want them to link up.
That's the beauty of it. It feels like its own beast, but it's meant to fit into the continuity of the MCU. Granted, Kingpin has the best chance of crossing over into the movies of anyone on this show, but I wouldn't rule out Daredevil in Infinity War (or any of the Defenders) should the shows prove successful.I like the trailer, but it just doesn't *scream* that it's *in* the MCU.

Jessica Jones and Luke Cage weren't even casted when Daredevil wrapped up filming. You won't see them in the show.I have a feeling the Netflix series will be super interconnected with Cage and Jones making appearances in DD.
The logo is comic-accurate, and the costume is a prototype & will be upgraded over the course of the season (he'll get his iconic red suit by the end of the season). This looks entertaining. Really can't imagine Cap showing up in a show like this anyway. Maybe Hawkeye... maybe Spider-Man... but that's kinda it. Unless you also have some opening shot of Iron Man flying by with Murdock going "People look up in awe, but guys like Stark, they never bother to look down."

Can you guys hook me up with a couple of essential daredevil reads.?
You don't think they'll show up in a cameo or a stinger? Just because they finished filming doesn't mean they can't do a few extra scenes.Jessica Jones and Luke Cage weren't even casted when Daredevil wrapped up filming. You won't see them in the show.
No I don't think so.You don't think they'll show up in a cameo or a stinger? Just because they finished filming doesn't mean they can't do a few extra scenes.
