Iron fist should have taken up Daredevil's mantle and worn the suit at the end of the show.
Hell no

I was somewhat surprised at how more of a skilled fighter DareDevil was than Danny. I figured Danny would be hands down the best martial art style but there was a clear difference in their skill levels.
Hell no
But then what of Iron Fist season 2 which is also a thing?

It was part of the plot of Civil War.
Daredevil's super power is his mask, which allows for the seamless insertion of a skilled stunt double.
If only Iron Fist had ever worn a mask ever in the entire history of his character ever. Oh well.

Stick says Matt might be the most naturally skilled fighter he's ever seen, he's the son of a boxer, and he has the advantage of his super senses letting him anticipate opponents' moves - he can hear blood pump, muscles tense, tendons twitch, etc. He was trained from an earlier age than Danny by the Chaste, is older, and isn't a hotheaded crazy jackass. I'm totally comfortable with depictions of him being a better fighter, even though "the kung fu guy" is Danny's whole deal. He still has the fist to fall back on.
I'm so happy Madame Gao is the one they left alive, she is by far the most interesting one.
Also, lol, how the fuck did Matt survived that?
I really liked the show, fun banter, good battles, really enjoyed the banter between the characters and that is what I like the most.

Daredevil has heighten senses and a better character.
It probably would have been if you could actually see anything.

I was floored when Matt held himself against two fingers of the Hand by himself.
On further reflection. This show was pretty ass. The plot, a lot of the writing, cinematography, characters and some of the acting. Ass.
Like, I feel like the only thing that's stopping some people from realising this or letting them purposely overlook that all is they're basically too busy fangasming at the characters on screen together.
It was ultimately both 1) unnecessary and 2) had an unnecessary build up.
Outside of Gao and Bakudo, the others were pretty weak really. I think the wolf Hunter dude could have been a more interesting character, but he didn't get enough time to cook.

It really worries me because they had years to plan this show out. You knew the villain would be The Hand or whatever. They obviously didn't communicate with the other shows cause they basically negated their show cliffhangers to get the characters where they needed to be. And yet, the show still feels like it was patched together hastily.
Why not? Probably would be a better for iron fist.

I must say I'm spoiled by a lot of anime like HxH and such but there have been very few "hype" moments through out the Netflix Marvel shows. The original hallway fight in DD S1 is probably the hallmark scene, pun intended, of the different Marvel shows. However one of the few moments in the Defenders, far too few if you ask me, was Gao stepping up and whooping some ass. Seeing her doing her whole martial arts force push thing and taking on JJ and Luke Cage by herself was pretty damn bad ass if you ask me.
Can we get a new "You are the (negative adjective) Iron Fist ever/yet" quote in every new show from now on? First it was worst, now it's dumbest.
Hype moments throughout the shows:
- DD Hallway fight
- Kingpin cardoor scene
- Gao using the force on DD
- DD S2 Hallway fight
- Punisher hallway fight
- Other DD stuff
- IF chi fist knocking Luke out
- Defenders hallway fight
- Other shit I don't recall

Dragon bone marrow.
Ok I thought that was the case but wasn't sure. Another question was what the hell the Hand's plan was outside of getting more of "the substance"? They kept mentioning wanting to go home but never really seemed to be actively attempting that despite going on about it several times through out the season.
They want to go back to K'un-Lun. I don't remember if they explain this as being different from the city where everyone's dead? For a while I thought that they were going to use the IF to open a door to another dimension or something. Not break through some literal rocks which are apparently the only way to access a large dragon skeleton beneath ordinary Manhattan stuck in some dirt.
Seemed like a missed opportunity
