Ok my bad. I can acknowledge a mistake unlike others How about cuban cigars though?lol no that's because US Amazon doesn't sell alcohol for the most part, outside of some wines.
You can't buy flowers in China or play poker with friends? I hardly doubt it. Also you can watch The Big Bang Theory now.
But anyways, I agree China has more restrictions than other countries. Countries like China consider the influence and support of hostile foreign governments damaging. That's the same reason why I can't buy Venezuelan rum on the american Amazon but I can on the German one.

That's weird with Jasmine flowers. But then again I can smoke a joint legally in the Netherlands or take shrooms and not in most places in the US. Also I can gamble a lot more in Cyrpus than in Germany and in Germany much more than in the US.Jasmine flowers are banned... the word Jasmine doesn't even show up in search engines. Gambling of all types is illegal even in private residences. Only exemption is the state lotteries. Big Bang was banned the first time I was there, substitute South Park if you want to go by last time I was there in November.
On I didn't know, you're not free to sell them in your country though.legal since 2016
We’ve gotten completely exposed, Taiwan & South Korea showed up the “best healthcare system”The US is starting to look more and more like a third world country.

Sums up your entire posting history.I'm not defending China, but...
Restricting and threatening doctors Chinese style. They learned from the best. The US is starting to look more and more like a third world country.

Is your daughter also your father? Because that's some prime dad joke material right there.Last week my daughter told me when those babies get older they will be called quaranteens.
I'm a freedom loving man but this makes me think that maybe dictatorship is not so bad after all. What the actual fuck.
By that point the numbers will be limited by the amount of testing that is possible, not because they are slowing down massively. You are kidding yourself if you think that the trend will be positive after Easter - the whole idea of flattening the curve is to prolong the infections over a much larger period of time to not overwhelm hospitals. The peak in the US won't be reached until end of May/June.
Can somebody tell me what the fuck is going on here?

This is only scary to people who don't have experience in customer service. There are plenty of petty things you can be fired for if you are misrepresenting the brand or sowing fear and disinformation to customers. The alternative would be instilling a hesitancy in the public from visiting the hospital at all i.e. "well if the hospital is gonna give me coronavirus anyway *cough* I might as well *wheeze* not bother visiting".
It's pretty awful, but at the same time people are eager to nab their 15m of fame and get on TV.
And this is assuming the "whistleblower" has noble intentions in the first place, to say nothing of people who do it to spread misinformation.
Can somebody tell me what the fuck is going on here:

Like a specialist on the video mentioned, the potential for viral outbreaks has been increasing for decades and scientists have been warning for decades so that there are panels in some places discussing what to do with this is not really so strange. But mostly everyone have been turning their heads the other way and ignoring the warnings. Even now in the middle of the crisis people are dismissing those warnings and trying to point blame on a specific actor when everyone has been basically accomplice to this.Yes, they talk about Coronavirus in that video.
"Selected moments from the Event 201 pandemic tabletop exercise hosted by The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY. The exercise illustrated the pandemic preparedness efforts needed to diminish the large-scale economic and societal consequences of a severe pandemic."
I don't believe in the official narrative anymore. There has been an agenda behind this.
But they're not being fired because they don't have the gear necessary. They're being fired because they're talking to the public about it. This results in panic, misinformation, and possibly a run on the services during a time when we need people to keep a level head. You're seriously comparing this situation to customer service?
Firing the very people you need the most right now, because they dont have the gear necessary to ensure their safety or the safety of their family.
Ah, well what hope do I have against this argument? You've clearly thought this through. You keep defending something I'm not quite sure what it is, but your political opinions are all screwed up. Everytime theres an article about something against the response of the government you try to defend it with silly arguements, and I dont understand why.
If you spent as much time reading as you do flippantly misconstruing someone else's points, you might even one day be able to hold an actual conversation! You'll get there. Keep trying.Im sure the doctors and nurses are just looking for their 15m of fame....not actual needs...yup, im pretty sure thats it!
Yeah, I want the Prince Charles version of vacationing in my castle in Scotland and be virus-free in a week.I really hope I get the famous person version of COVID-19 that just ruffles your hair slightly.

Certainly the best outcome would be to have more than enough gear, obviously. But in lieu of that, complaining about lack of gear is going to cause its own problems. It certainly won't alleviate the problem, will it? You tell me. What is it supposed to solve?

Hahaha you are one of the ones condemning China for shutting down health professionals during a crisis and now you're defending the same shit by your government. You can't make this shit up folks. "It's ok if we do it" lolThey're being fired because they're talking to the public about it. When running a business you don't let the customers know that you're about to run out of something, or that your services are possibly compromised, nor do you let workers on the line speak for your "brand" in a time of crisis. People get fired for that under normal circumstances all the time. Like I already mentioned, people who have experience dealing with customers already understand this principle. To an outsider it might seem "unfair" but there are reasons behind it.Because the governement doesnt provide it? Its obvious they need to speak to the public, if the governement isnt getting their message. Who else would they speak to?
You're delusional, move along.
Perhaps it escaped your grasp but hospitals =/= the government, and organ-vanning doctors who speak out =/= hospital staff complaining about lack of gear. Go ahead and keep dunking on your Little Tikes hoop while the rest of us discuss the topic.Hahaha you are one of the ones condemning China for shutting down health professionals during a crisis and now you're defending the same shit by your government. They wont fire them. They NEED the doctors now lmaoHahaha you are one of the ones condemning China for shutting down health professionals during a crisis and now you're defending the same shit by your government. You can't make this shit up folks. "It's ok if we do it" lol
They just want their 15m of fame! Corrupt doctors, want to bring down the government with their lies!
sigh..
Sure is not the same "if we do it". In fact China can now use the same excuse "hey! we just wanted to avoid mass panic so we avoided disclosing information. Sorry about that but we felt it was necessary at the time. You know how that is sometimes right?".Perhaps it escaped your grasp but hospitals =/= the government, and organ-vanning doctors who speak out =/= hospital staff complaining about lack of gear. Probably not. China didn't fire the doctor either but he ended up dead from the virus anyways. They wont fire them. They NEED the doctors now lmao
Thank you for stooping to discuss this with me but... you haven't said anything. You just call me delusional and the pack of hyenas laughs along with you, which is your goal anyway. Point and laugh without ever contributing anything.Your delusion will ruin you one day. I'm not rising to anything speaking to you, its actually the other way around, im lowering myself, so imma stop that...I'm 6'2 its hard to get down to your level.
Tell me something, when you type "W", does your autocorrect automatically fill to "Wuhan virus"? Im pretty sure it does.

And that is why doctors and nurses need our supportProbably not. China didn't fire the doctor either but he ended up dead from the virus anyways.
And scientists, people have been dismissing serious scientific research for too long because it's not compatible with the economic system. Well we now see how those fucked up priorities end up, the world crumbling and economy in shatters because we were too focused on the economy and not on the important shit. And that is why doctors and nurses need our support
A news story in the British Medical Journal has appeared suggesting that four out of five cases of Covid-19 in China may be asymptomatic.
The story is based on figures released by Chinese authorities on Wednesday that revealed that of the 166 new infections identified in the preceding 24 hours, 130 people showed no signs of the disease.
Tom Jefferson, an epidemiologist and honorary research fellow at the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at the University of Oxford, told the BMJ that while the sample was small it might have important implications, not least since it could mean that the virus had been circulating for longer than thought and that a huge proportion of the population had already been exposed.
He said:
But others have pushed back against the remarks. Among them, Dr Bharat Pankhania, senior clinical lecturer at the University of Exeter, who said that, while many people may have encountered the disease and been unaware of it, low rates of hospital admissions in several parts of the country suggested infection was not widespread and that lockdown therefore remained important. He said:If – and I stress, if – the results are representative, then we have to ask, ‘What the hell are we locking down for?’
The lockdown is only [doing] one thing, which is to stop a surge of cases so that the trickle that are created are able to be safely treated in hospital and their lives saved.
It will be interesting to see the aftermath with the different approach from some countries but we will definitely not get rid of it while doing nothingSome posters say just let it roam , people will survive.. /sarcasm
Just a few weeks ago when this was mentioned in the thread, people got shouted at and the notion that "millions have probably already had it" it was handwaved.Thought this was interesting...

We're on track for more deaths than Italy. I remember the NHS advertising weeks ago that they were well prepared for an outbreak. Like fuck they were.

I don't discard that possibility but I wouldn't be surprised if he simply just died from the virus.Call me crazy, but someone who was a whistleblower in China tragically dying sounds like symptoms of an assisted suicide, not Covid-19.
My key takeaway from the graph is that the rate is still increasing. Even if it were constant, you'd still experience rising number of cases. So we're far off, globally. We are still ~1-2 weeks away from the point where, on a global scale, daily case numbers will no longer increase. We have to be patient a little longer, but the point will come. I think the week after Easter will show where the journey is headed. And it will be positive.
