this is exactly the sort of thing they should be putting on PSN for the Vita

Will happily buy it on iOS and/or Android though, based on their work with Dead Space

Would be nice to have some kind of controller support so I can use my OnLive controller on my tablet

Probably. All of the iOS games I have from EA use Origin logins for achievements and stuff.

Whoa really? I didn't realize that. How long have they been doing that?

Looks good to me, Shadowgun plays pretty decent for an iOS game. I am not paying more than $3 for it though.

Love how the Android release date is "eventually".

Dead Space is possibly the best game on the Xperia Play so I have high hopes for this.

You mean they change the outcome of the story rather than filling up some arbitrary bar?

Sounds good to me.

No, I mean Renegade option is shooting someone, while PAragon option is you snarling "get outta here!"

Neither option has any bearing on anything and the whole thing lasts 5 seconds and feels weird.

Damn, this won't work on my iPod touch 2G. :(

Supposedly this is from the same guys who did Dead Space iOS, and honestly I think I enjoyed the iOS version more than Dead Space 2. They're a talented bunch, so hopefully this is good as well.

I thought Dead Space was mediocre, but I'm having a blast with this. Instead of being a shitty shooter, they managed to create an action game that plays surprisingly well on the device.

Just been playing some of this. This is pretty good. Still has the same problems most iOS games have where you cover the screen with your hands but it's a cool game. Having some trouble switching weapons in the heat of battle though. It doesn't seem to like selecting the shotgun.

Just finished this, thought it was really neat game some fiddly controls but does a good job of creating a console like experience on a touchscreen, it gets pretty solid later on and some of the boss fights are a bit much, ( still better than dues ex's ones mind) so just kicked off a new game plus and I'm racking I'm the cash and intel which is cool although I can see that this could be used to effectively max out your galactic readiness (if you were so inclined) without even starting ME3, anyway to some up:
Not much of a story
Fun combat
Very pretty
Occasionally fiddly controls
Gets pretty hard later on
Lots of powers and upgrades!

But yeah good times!

It's upsetting when you read on the toucharcade threads about this game, users moaning because they want twin joystick combat and all that regular stuff, if they want that why don't they just play it on consoles.

There are a lot of weird touches that are really just there to make it mass effect, but overall it does a really good job of using assets from the real game (especially using the soundtrack from lotsb). My biggest complaint is the ipod touch screen being too small, defiantly made with iPad in mind.

Also the boss in the screenshot is a mutant krogan that Cerberus was working on.

So is anyone playing ME3 at the same time? Does playing this add to your galactic readiness thing?

You can convert 'Intel' you find to galactic readiness that will help your ME3 game or into credits to spend in the store to upgrade your weps etc.

Played some more of this and I really do like it. Main downside for me is that I'm playing on an iPod touch so the screen is a tad small. Looks great and runs great though. At least on the actual device. looks a bit rough in the screenshots I took.
