Massive Killzone Shadow Fall campaign blow-out on GTTV this week

i like how that guy in the gif has imperfections all over. From the wonky eye to the way his mouth moves. Adds a layer of authenticity to the look of his character as a human being.

The rain looks extremely bad....
The forest level looks even better with different lighting
screen tearing is gone
I saw massive lod pop up during the border crossing segment (probably a glitch) bit overall the lod is better

Looking forward to the final game

hahaha wow.... That rain (if it's actually rain) has to be glitchy or something. GG wouldn't on their right mind release a single player media blow-out with that 8-bit gen rain.

The game is looking great and seems to be shaping up incredibly well. Sure, there are some nitpicks here and there, but it's definitely my most anticipated launch title.

The Gameplay looks totally fun, imo.

Dead god, GTTV stream quality is so shitty... But the game looks great, they mercifully did not spoil everything. :D

The only thing that was not good looking was the rain. It seemed like environment IS NOT WET, and the rain particles were meh.

Watching it on my tv(DVR) if you look at the flag, you will see the wind is pretty strong and the rain is being blown from left to right just as the flag indicates. I don't see the splashes like we saw in the Press release MP video. Maybe they are working all the way up til a couple of weeks prior for a day 1 patch.

I don't like the scan to see enemies(it's optional), but I understand why, you can hear Herman state because there are so many enemy types you need to know what you're going up against. Couple that with the info we got yesterday about 24 enemy A.I. routines on screen at once. I like the chose your own path via destruction, I love the way the glass is fractured and falls as the your drone is shooting.

Herm states that the game is played on both sides of the wall, is that all there is to the game?

Wow, amazing. Actually now seeing this jump between current gen and next gen means I'm not going to be able to play my games on my current console instead I'll sit and wait for the PS4. Seriously, when they moved between Killzone and current gen games like Beyond and Titanfall the difference was astounding.

Overall game is looking really excellent. I can't believe how good the forest looks now.

Someone needs to gif the section of him on the troop transport when he sets off the bomb inside. That was BA

Not sure what you mean...does it only take place on Vekta? I guess.

The GT steam does suck.. low bit rate also.. makes the game look glitchy and running at 20 fps.. we need something direct from Sony.

Titanfall is cross gen and still looks pretty nice, but yeah, this really does look next gen to me.

The game looks amazing, but I HATE how they insist on the horribly low POV. It is just plain stupid looking when you walk up to an NPC and you stand chest height. Ugh!

I'm a big fan of the Killzone franchise. But there is one thing...

Killzone was never good with stable framerates. While looking good, KZ3 dipped way too low sometimes. I think they will go graphics over playability again and expect some good drops in the campaign.

Eh? Kz2 and kz3 maintain a solid 30 fps at all times. The only part that dropped frames in kz3 was in the forest with those mechanical spiders

Hope to see similar gameplay from other sites later on... Seems to be always the case after a GT.TV episode

Glad the didn't over spoil anything... I also find it odd how the rain in the SP is completely different from the one in the MP
Might have been a place holder

This is my launch title game that I'll be getting for sure but a few things still bug me.

1: The rain in the video didn't interact with anything. It just looks like a flat filter over the screen and doesn't actually bounce off of objects. Even in current gen games, when it's raining, you will get little rain splatter effects on objects, which would have done wonders in making the effect not look so flat.

2: OWL: At the end of the zip line animations with OWL, the rope just disappears. Every time, just poof, like magic. Would it have been too much to just have a few extra frames of animation that showed the rope being pulled back off screen?

There, I'm done being nitpicky. Just, when a game looks as good as this, the smaller things stand out more.

sounds silly, but i'd like to see leaves rip up when you shoot through them. i mean that gif is amazing graphically. but this is next gen damnit.

if i shoot a wall or a rock or a tree, i'm sure it leaves a mark or does damage. foliage should have some type of reaction.

Sure, but there's only so much you can ask from a launch game. Guerrilla have arguably done more than anyone else for their launch game, at some point we need to cut them some slack.

... just not for that ugly rain, heh.

I fear you are going to be disappointed this next-generation. I wouldn't expect that level of environmental interactivity (probably ever).

Unless you mean that if a projectile passes through foliage the engine generates some green bits. But I don't see individual leaves being interacted with.

They wouldn't need to get damaged to satisfy me, just physically react to the force, it'd look sweet, I expect that type of thing to be more common as the generation progresses.

Had to rewatch to see the rain you guys are talking about.

It'd be depressing if I was bothered by stuff like that all the time, but I'm glad you guys are around to keep pushing for better graphics and performance.

Man this reminded of mgs3. Even tough it was a fake canned animation but whenever you shoot grass leaves would move. and that was 2 gens ago :(.

This alos bugged me very much in uncharted. no jungle seems natural after mgs3

What I mean is when he talks about he game as a whole all he mentions is the battle or the conflict taking place on both sides of the wall. Nothing about going outside of that area of conflict.

Well I might be wrong but I thought the wall divided the entire planet not just two sides of one city. So you'll fight on the ISA side of the city and Helghast side of the city and some other environments too (like the forested area we've seen played numerous times)

I normally don't bother with stuff like that to the point where I don't even notice them, but that horrendous rain popped like a full screen toasty.

The lightning when that guy was about to cross over, god damn! It looked real. The only negative graphics wise are the rain effects.

Everything looks great especially that forest area. The gameplay in this one definitely looks more up my alley than the previous military CoD campaigns of 2 and 3. The only thing left that i'm worried about is the darn framerate. We need a stable 30 fps for the campaign and everything else will be great hopefully.
