I don't think it was a flat out heel turn. If that was the case, he would have another heel beat up on Orton too..like Mark Henry/Sheamus....but he just screwed a heel out the title so it's probably a message to Orton that he's wants another shot for the title. You had to see it coming being that the title match between Sheamus and Orton was on free tv and not the next ppv.

Oh I definitely saw it coming. I said as much during RAW as soon as the Smackdown promos aired still focusing on "Christian's lost dream" on a week where Orton and Sheamus were facing off for the title.

I'm with you in that I actually do hope they keep Christian as an "I want the title at all costs" face. It's really the one approach that could salvage the way they've booked this. Full untelegraphed heel turn would not be well-received by me.
