Five guys fries are good when they're lightly salted and cooked really well. When they're heavily salted they are absolutely gross.

Burger King made a big deal outta this years ago, BK uses real potatoes. I'm just one of those people who doesn't like McDonalds. The McChickens are pretty good and the fries smell great, but I've been a BK person for most of my life.

I'm actually the most satisfied at Five Guys because they cover your brown paper bag and you always feel like they gave you too many.

I also prefer larger fries.

Whataburger fries are better because they are virtually identical to McDonalds fries in my experience without the rest of mediocre McDonalds. Also... spicy ketchup!

I prefer Five Guys Cajun with malt vinegar or CFA's waffle fries with NO ketchup though. Just pure potato and light salt... MMMMMmmmmmmm

Bar none, best combo. In N Out well done fries come in a close second, though. And Wendy's fries are getting better, too, though McDonald's is literally the gold standard.

Also, Wing Stop fries with extra seasoning + well done are really, really good, too. Matter of fact they're in second, shifting In N Out well done to the third slot.

The only better ones I've had were from my Jr high-school, they were freshly cut, piping hot right off the fryer and perfectly salted. $2 for fries, nacho cheese dip and a soda, I ate this for lunch everyday for the 2 years I was there. I got pretty damn fat.

heres the problem the best fries is checkers/rallys but most people havent ever tasted them because they're regional.

basically they're like popeyes fries which are already top tier but significantly better than those.
