Many retailer blogs mention high preorders for Fire Emblem. First shipment is already fully reserved from retailers.

Initial shipment is estimated to be at 250k range (azalyn).

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

I know it doesn't mean anything but Fire Emblem has been in the top 5 sellers in amazon.jp since its anouncement.

Could it be the best selling game of the series? How much the other games sold?

@chris: Is there a new shipment (200.000) for April 25? (Azalyn)

I don't get why RE is discussed so much, its performing at the rate everyone is pretty much expecting. Capcom is not just going to drop something if there's something to be made out of it, they're the the milk kings.

This extends a bit to a few other 3DS games also, people are expecting wonders from the 3DS, so it hurts when reality hits them on the head with average sales.

It was released when Nintendo 64 was starting to die.

I don't see FE as a title that can hit 200k+ in the first week. Sounds way too optimistic.

Guess they did hire an artist that doesn't look like his work is stuck in fantasy light novels, so maybe the folks that picked up KH will get it as their next RPG fix.

Fire Emblem and Mario Tennis look very solid tries from Nintendo. They could surprise with their overall performance.

Is there a reason for the question marks? From weekly chart and 2010 annual chart;

15/07/10 [NDS] Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem - Hero of Light and Shadow (Nintendo) - 147.045 / 247.248

Edit, nevermind, I see the original post was from 2010.

In order to not upset GEIMIN too much when they post the MC Top 1000, would it be possible to make the thread here, and then immediately move it to the Sales Archive forum?

The Sales Archive forums is only accessible to members, so it may be an easier pill for GEIMIN to take, but it'd still allow members to see the data. Just a thought.

Yes, I can do that.

Edit: It looks like if I do that, no one will be able to reply to the thread.

Oh I do hope that FE opens over 200k. That is one series that deserves to grow.

There seems to be a good amount of hype for it. And since it's getting it's own hardware bundle Special Pack it should be quite sought after. I know I've got a Special Pack on pre-order from NCSX and am quite excited about it as it will be my first Japanese 3DS.

Seems like a game that probably benefited a lot from being on Nintendo Direct. They've certainly promoted it a lot more than they have some of the previous Fire Emblems.

If Kingdom Hearts barely did...
It looks like Nintendo is polishing the fuck out of their first party games, and its a good choice, they plenty of time to give their titles that extra bit of effort and I think sales will reflect that. Let's not forget how well Pokemon + Nobunaga is performing, and thats a better comparison than KH.

This seems like a really odd request. If we don't want to upset a site which does not like other places replicating their public information, then the solution would be to simply not post it. If there is a need to post it anyway, it would be for the purpose of discussion. It would be pointless to archive something immediately because that kills discussion.

If the only purpose is then to replicate the numbers for reference, I would imagine it is better suited for either someone else to do it on another site, or to simply just use GEIMIN as a reference, in the first place.

Curious about the drop-off for Kingdom Hearts.

Mm. Me too. I expect it to do the usual, but if it holds up better it could go some way to balancing the pretty naff first week.

Kid Icarus should be interesting too - I think it's safe to say that one has exceeded the expectations of most by now, no?
