In news that will shock everyone, Final Fantasy: Brave Frontier: Like The Hit Game But This Time It's Better debuted instantly at #11 in the top grossing charts.

We'll see if it has any staying powered over the next month.

No, this is a limited run like the Mario Kart 8 one.

(Yes, the MK8 bundle was limited since launch, and they stopped shipping copies this past August lol)

#FE bundle will ship 20k and that's all

so why this is showed in both FE and Splatoon bundles ?

Checking the new issue of Famitsu I noticed that Halo 5 is getting 4 SKUs over there, checking Halo 5's site we have.

Just the game 6900 yen.

There's also this two limited editions, 9900 yen and 24900 yen respectively.

And the 1tb console bundle, 49980 yen.

All pictures taken from the Japanese site, for whatever reason they're using the ESRB. Also despite the game coming out on the 29th, the site says the bundle came out today.

As Hiska said, Mario Kart 8 bundle was also shipped in limited quantities, and it lasted the months we all know it lasted. I really can see this bundle also being in the same situation. Splatoon is by far more popular than Mario Kart, so it can potentially drive more sales that the karting game. So, Mario Maker and Splatoon, in my opinion will be co-existing until the end of the days of Wii U.

In Europe:

Launch - 8 Go SKU, without any game: 300 €
Launch - 32 Go SKU, with Nintendo Land: 350 €

Now - 32 Go bundle with Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon + 7 days of Wii Karaoke U: 300 €

I understand the point of not following the "GC way" and trying to not loose any money on the HW, but what they are doing in Japan is crazy.
And 8gb with nintendoland, wiiu party, wii motion plus and 7 days wii kareoke U for 199 euro.

WEEK 46 2014 ( Mario Kart 8 bundle; Call of Duty Advanced Warfare week )

PS4 = 15,537 ( +54%)
WIU = 14,002 (+193%)

...So... What do you guys expect from PS4 and Wii U this year with Black Ops III and Splatoon bundle?

I'm gonna say 35k PS4 with BO III and 20k Wii U with Splatoon bundle.

Famitsu PlayStation Store Digital Estimates {2015.08.31 - 2015.10.04} (5 weeks)

PS4 Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain - 56k
PS4 Ultra Street Fighter IV - 11,9k
PS4 Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes - 10,6k
PSV Tokyo Xanadu - 10,6k
PS4 Minecraft PS4 version - 8.395 units
PS3 Minecraft PS3 version - 7.220 units
PS3 Metal Gear V The Phantom Pain - 6,1k
PSV Minecraft Vita Edition - 6.055 units

So with digital

MGS4 after 7 weeks = 621,653
MGS5 after 7 weeks (5 weeks of digital) = 690,551

MGSV doing good.

MGS5 is having better legs than 4 as well.

Mario Kart 8 Bundle was also "limited". 数量限定
(Limited for some time, 10 months in that case).

#FE bundle is not in Nintendo Hardware line up list, meaning that it's a real limited print just for the launch of the game.

The three Wii U bundles are the Premium Set without game, Super Mario Maker and Splatoon, as it's showed here:

Looks ugly tbh.

And that glow on the logo....? Ugh

When you first start using photoshop, you want to put a glow on everything because you think it looks so cool, and then reality sets in.

oh, tentative. good.

Is Famitsu's monthly best sellers on the newest issue? I've read scans but it doesn't seem to be there.

Btw, one of the last PSP released, they will be gradually disappearing.
That's only the second game in a 4-game series still in development. The Vita port for the first game did under 3k its first week so it's a surprise that they decided to release the handheld ports for the second game at all. If they're dead set on releasing ports for the full set anyways for some reason, it would stretch the last PSP release into 2018 at the rate they're going.

Digital would also (likely) tip the opening week in favor of VFD.

Ouch for Zelda. PriPara should sell well over the weekend given how it is targeted towards a female and young audience; it will likely improve a lot the result by PriPara x Pretty Rhythm which was released on 3DS a few months ago. Perhaps it will sell well during holidays too even though there's the usual Aikatsu competition.

Hopefully this makes them slow down on Zelda for a bit. Way too many games these days.

PriPara & Pretty Rhythm debuted at 19,073 last March. The new one is predicted to open around 30k according to early predictions; that would be quite an increase.

So I guess it wasn't just because of "lowered expectations" I thought 7th Dragon III had sold well. I wonder if there's going to be any legs thanks to good word of mouth.

Surprised by the number of pre-orders... weren't they supposed to be low until they released the demo?

Not unexpected for Zelda, which is a damn shame.

BRUTAL.

It will not bomb. But will sell really mediocre ( or worse ) for a Zelda game.

I don't think it is seen as a real Zelda game, more like a spin-off. And to be honest, its production value and marketing would normally point towards an eShop only game.

I appreciate most Zelda games, but have little interest in this nothingness named triforce heroes.

Not that we needed any confirmation.
-"No first party titles in development for PS Vita currently."
-"Will leave third party devs to do their best."

So, not even a small downloadable game or a multiplatform hunting game for Vita.
Sony supported its own system for 2 and a half years or so and it must have abandoned it ~one year after releasing it, considering development times.

That must be some kind of record, even Sega released Dreamcast games 3+ years into its lifecycle.

So a whole ton of publishers have launched major mobile games recently.

Would people like me to translate a snapshot of the Top 100? It's kind of time consuming, and obviously it's of the time period it happened, so I'm only going to do this if there's some interest.

Not that we needed any confirmation.

It's a dead product line and they're very concerned with getting the PS4 up and running in Japan (which is the only place they'd consider making Vita games) so I'm not very surprised.

Sega didn't have any other systems they were going to be releasing games on, so in development projects still released.
