Media Create Sales: Week 7, 2012 (Feb 13 - Feb 19)

Well, we saw that recently tomodatchi was listed as 2012 title, while Animal Crossing was indicated as TBA (previously also AC was 2012 ).
So, we can imagine:

March: Mario&Sonic (distributed by Nintendo in Japan); Kid Icarus
April: Fire Emblem
May: Mario Tennis
June: Pokemon BW2
July: Calciobit (is it Nintendo? not sure...)
Summer: Brain Training (the new one with Devil Kawashima)
Autumn: Tomodatchi
Xmas: Mario 2d

I'm still hoping for Luigi's mansion 2 for this year...

AC for 2013 golden week :p

June has Culdcept, which will be distributed by Nintendo (+Project Zero 2, but that's for Wii). I can see well Luigi's Mansion 2 in September.

I'm still baffled with the announcement of Pokémon Black and White 2, how much do you think it will sell?

There are some factors to consider:

- Released on a dead system although you can play it on its successor.
- The size of the DS active userbase.
- First direct sequel of a main Pokémon title. We know that a main entry sells over 5 million units, while its "enhanced version" usually manages to sell less than a half. Logic dictates that in this case we can expect a figure much more closer to 5 million than 2 million.

Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire - 5,337,045
Pokémon Emerald - 2,189,078

Pokémon Diamond / Pearl - 5,793,340
Pokémon Platinum - 2,577,280

Pokémon Black/White - 5,379,135

I'd be guessing around 3.5 million. As you said, people with 3DS' can play it through BC or just play it on their old DS. I'm expecting a shrink in sales compared to mainline entries because some people might not know it's a sequel, even with the 2 on the end. Just look through the BW2 announcement to see how many people asking "Is this Grey or not?"

People better be just as excited about the next Rune Factory. HM is such old news. :3

This is also the first week with Vita Masters out there. Let's see if they could do any magic. :p

I'm surprised Mario Kart is missing. Probably will be back in the top 10 in the next week, if the week is slow. I still expect it to sell over the years, no problem.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
I'm happy for MMV after their Wii bombs they seem to do great on 3DS, Rune Factory 4 also seems to reach high preorder numbers.

Asura's Wrath, ouch.

Binary Domain dropped like a rock.

PSVs numbers are going to be so low.

Playstation family still dominates the list though, 7/10

Not all that strange when you consider how minute the difference in sales will be between something in 6th and something in, say, 12th.

Edit: Got a feeling Naruto didn't do all that crash hot.

yeah but it was selling better than Mario Land and MHG weekly so it's strange that's it's out and the other two are still in.

Yes, that's strange. It's also true, on the other hand, that those three titles were selling very similar quantities weekly, so for example they could have just 2k difference and be in-out of the top ten.
