So how do you control your brush? Looked like you draw by moving around the controller??? Not sure how well that will work, but maybe I still don't get it.

The fuck was that MM?
Disappointing.
I think people aren't appreciating what this is (or at least seems to be) - basically a new canvas, and even medium, in which to create and share art, and then fully immerse yourself in someone else's artistic creations, whether they are "playable" or not.
The idea of "game" is probably contained in this.. but media molecule almost seem to be evolving it into something else entirely.
Seems, honeslty, like it could be a really legitimately watermark moment for the digital medium in general.
Yea I doubt it'll become huge (hopefully I'm wrong) but you gotta admit it totally fits what MM is all about. It's always great to see devs having the creative freedom to make a game they want.
Even if they say you can make games, how is it the fuck convincing compared to what they shown?
They shown no gameplay, there was no "game mechanics" there. It was looking just like a movie making game. And if they proove me wrong later I will be happy!
I don't understand why people don't get what this is. It's a 3d lbp, creating levels to play in a 3d sculpted world. I'm positive. It's incredible. No boundaries. Limitless potential here. Actually looks fun to create, unlIke lbp which could be quite the chore.
Sorry it just won't happen, and BTW people want games. This is basically like releasing a game engine for noons. That's cool and all but include a game with it.
Mm is creative but they also make gameplay, this wasn't gameplay, it was arts and crafts.
And maybe they will.

You're living up to your tag here, of course they'll release it as a game, with gameplay. The point is you can use the tools to create a multitude of things, art, puzzles, actual levels with gameplay etc, which they showcased in the reveal. Everything from a whack em up, to some weird racer shooter, platforming etc.
it look awesome but the guy geoff was talking to kept avoiding gameplay questions and saying they were "experiences" so I guess you're more of a puppet master director..and you can play in peoples creations, i dont know lol

I love LittleBigPlanet, loved when this showed up at the PS4 reveal... but I didn't learn anything new here.
Well, the implication that people's creations will seamlessly "load" into each other is really good!
But can I make a silly, difficult level in this thing?
Lots of assumptions here. All they have shown is the creative aspects of the game. You remind me of the people assuming that LBP wouldn't have a single player or that Tearaway was a series of mini games with Vita gimmicks. Wait until we know moreSorry it just won't happen, and BTW people want games. This is basically like releasing a game engine for noons. That's cool and all but include a game with it.

Great to hear what your perception of what the entirety of the consumer populace wants. It's regressive thinking like that keeps the medium from moving forward. You're gonna still get your games, no need to feel threatened by devs trying new avenues. If the market speaks, then it speaks, but don't advocate stifling creativity.
The concept here is that it's not a conventional game experience - and pretty explicitly. "Including" a game defeats the purpose.
Also Alex said people could Create games with it so...
What I need to know is how the sculptures translate into gameplay. The sculpting tech looks gorgeous, but I wonder how it turns into gameplay.
It seems like it is as much of a game as Mario Paint is. Which I am actually pretty pleased with personally.
Surprised there was no mention of using the Move controller to sculpt as that would certainly be less cumbersome surely?
I hope so. But we haven't really got much to go from to be confident of that.Uhhh, I expect the scene with the motorbike and hammer to be playable.
I think this is going to be a much, much bigger, bolder LBP style game, NOT just make cool movies.
I hope so. But we haven't really got much to go from to be confident of that.
I think it'll be an option unless they found something in the DS4 that's required that the Move can't do here on the creation side.
But DS4 is what everyone has, so it sort of makes sense for them to push that as the default.
I'm sure there will be some playable stuff, no doubt. But is it going to be like normal video game gameplay, or more just interactive movie-type stuff? We haven't see them play anything live, but in the bubbles at the end there's what looks like a number of gameplay sequences being played. Based on that and the blog post etc. you can definitely make gameplay in this, so I'm not sure why the hoverbike sequence couldn't also have been such a sequence.
