Until you get used to it edibles may cause the munchies. Chugging that beer probably contributed to it - if you want to avoid the munchies don't mix alcohol with your THC, and take your dose as close to bedtime as you can stand.

…well I got dragged up the mountain and we brought our poor old dog too. It was a hike we haven’t done for like 10 years but we used to take the dog up there all the time when she was a pup, before we moved away (then back).

So we stopped for brunch again like the boujee yuppies we apparently aspire to be. It’s a dog friendly patio seating place, I go inside to wash my hands and the dog promptly barfs a big pile of grass and kibble right by our table 😬

I think there needs to be some major clarification on the "no politics" rule after the Al Zawahiri thread got locked. I took it as meaning no government politics. Discussing elections, laws, rulings(like RoevWade) etc. But lately a lot of threads tangentially linked to politics have been getting closed. At that point you can make a case anything is political. I mean, there's a COVID thread and COVID can be political. It's no less political than some of the other threads not lasting. So I honestly don't know what constitutes politics at all anymore. That was a big story that IMO isn't really "political." That's more a current events news story.

Well someone went right for the “administration did this as a distraction from everything else!” line, and I immediately thought that I should point out that this has always been the stupid cudgel to use against the “other” party when a high value target is eliminated…like anyone would just sit on taking out a Bin Laden or whoever until the ratings dropped below a certain threshold…but why go down that road when I know it’s not allowed?

It’s like some people can’t help it, so it’s not allowed. Fine by me when it seems to just bring out the stupidest takes from some, probably me included.

I've definitely become more of an ass man where women are concerned. There's something wholly satisfying about spreading those tight little buttcheeks, seeing her chocolate starfish winking back at you, and hearing that satisfying slapping sound of skin-on-skin as you pound that ass into oblivion.

Whatever keeps the million typos out of thread titles is a welcome change for me.

Besides, who gives a shit what a bunch of basement dwelling nerds think about world events? If I want uniformed opinions on hot button topics, I'll go to reddit.

Why are there a hundred different types of cat litter? Even from the same manufacturer. Arm and hammer as at least 4 different kinds of litter at my local Walmart for Christs sake.

I guess mods are just trying to proactively get out in front of it with some threads. It is pretty obvious which threads might invite the worst behavior in some of us, afterall. The problem seems to be that there's a group of users that can't help themselves but go 100% when even a whiff of politics enters the discussion.

I really dislike reporting people and only do it when A: I think a thread should live a long time but someone is threatening to get it closed by their behavior, or B: it's clearly something hateful.

For example there's a pretty benign thread about Andor, an upcoming Star Wars show. Someone made a pretty harmless political joke based on a tweet, and then a couple people took that joke and went hardcore political with it. The comments are still there, so am I to assume they were warned and not report them? Should I just dip out of the thread and ignore since I already said my piece? Should I report all three?

Dunno. Just want to say I am still fine with politics being largely verboten, even when what is considered political might get murky at times. I think most of us still remember how ugly things got back in early 2021.

They broke the rules and should be punished, I get that, but I think it's a bit unprofessional of whoever banned them to call them a cunt. The staff are supposed to be impartial and unbiased, and set an example for the community.
